I enjoyed your video, I'm also a youtuber and I'm also will be attending UL , my orientation is soon, my questions are how many courses will a student have to schedule for, how long is the thing if your staying for one day, what time is lunch, and will we be assigned our rooms on orientation?
Lavaguy Fireflame Hey & thank you so much!!! & to be classified as a full time student you have to take 12 hours. and if you want to graduate in 4 years you have to take 15.
and i think you have to stay both days. they told us if we only came to one day and not the other then the school makes you redo the orientation. but the first day lasted until like 8pm and then if you chose the option to stay over night then you slept in the dorms and then got up the next day which was just scheduling classes and stuff like that. the second day ended around 5pm
lunch for me was around 11:30. but they’ll give you a schedule when you first get there and it will have everything on there for you
and no you don’t find out at orientation but they already posted room assignments on your ulink account. google “housing portal ull” and sign in with your ulink account information and they’ll show you who you’re roomed with

@@talaspates667 I just checked and it's $250. So I actually have to pay that? To be assigned a room? I thought all of that was covered through my finical aid? Did you pay $150
Lavaguy Fireflame yea i’m afraid so. i don’t think they’ll assign a room unless you paid. but i didn’t bc i run track and the fee was covered in my scholarship.

Did you tour any hbcu’s? If so what made UL better than them? Trying to make a decision
hey! i didn’t “officially” tour any hbcu’s. i had the opportunity to tour PVAM but i signed to ull before i even went bc ULL had me hooked. but not only did i decide to go bc of the track team but i just loved the over all energy of the school. it’s fun but also serious at the same time. they offer a ton of academic help so there’s like no possible way for you to fail. also the campus isn’t that big and i grew up in small schools so i wanted the same for college. but i just feel like you don’t have to go to an hbcu to still feel at home and still have close relationships with people of the same culture. and ULL literally had everything i wanted in a school. i hope that helps you make you decision!! :)

It’s not like crowdedddd with Asians but if u just go you’ll see a good amount of them. keep in mind it’s south Louisiana which overall doesn’t have much Asians!
