Thank you four this show. I’ve never heard of it before until now, I will definitely make this for my wife and friends. It doesn’t matter what you make, I appreciate the way you take the time on how it’s done no matter if 1 show or 6 shows . Thank you 😎
I wish I had one of those in my younger days when I baked all the bread! I think I have seen one of these before in an antique shop years ago? Or maybe my great-grandmother had one? Anyway, an easy project for the scroll saw. I've seriously started woodcarving this winter. I'll send you some photos if you like. It is a huge learning curve lol! I hope to incorporate this new hobby into some of my whirligig designs. I have more ideas than I have time! The "Bread Bow" was a great project to share with us viewers! I am thinking of making one. What a beautiful finish! I enjoyed it! Take care!
Beautiful wood in this project! The tiger maple graining is simply gorgeous. I have made many of these over the years as Christmas gifts and I have not included the 1/8" offset on my bows. I usually make the inner opening between the blade and the bow around 1 1/8" deep in a 1 3/4" frame width. Your design has piqued my interest in that there may be a better approach than that I have been using. Certainly that edge would permit a thinner bow profile. I like it. I'll have to give it a shot the next time I make a bread bow. A great show, sir, with lots of insights and ideas for a better creation. See ya next week!!!
Hey Kenny! Nice little project! We made some of these for Christmas gifts last year. I like your choice of wood for the project... it worked out perfect and the grain is beautiful! Thanks for putting this all together for us and Great Job!
I had never heard of a bread bow before, how cool! Also, I watched the whole real time scrolling section and your commentary was great! Also also, when you mentioned not wanting the bread to get jammed, I of course thought, “Yeah, you don’t want your bread jammed until AFTER you slice it!” 😁 Triple also, I chuckled when you gently scoffed at bandsaws, because I recently decided that I can probably let my bandsaw go, since there’s nothing I do with it that I don’t prefer doing on my scroll saw… bandsaws 🙄!
Ive never come across bread bow before 😮 i did notice you made a right handed bread bow and your left handed like me, im ashamed of you given in to the all the odd people who are right handed 😝 do you have a left handed patten as well 😅 thanks for all your efforts in doing the videos love them.
Well let's start with what may or may not be obvious. While I am technically left handed (I write mostly with my left hand) I can pretty much do most things equally well with either my left or my right, so making a right handed bread bow made it useable for both my wife and me. Win/win. As for making a left handed one, the only difference is the side that the routing extension sticks out on and what way your blade faces. I hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in.
How is it that no one has made any music jokes yet, e.g., what key does that play in, do you have to use rosin on it every cut, etc., etc. And I am not even a musician, just a bad punster (and woodworker).
Beautiful work and idea for birthdays or Mother’s Day presents. Also how to do router table stuff safely. Really appreciate it all
That's one of the best things I've seen since sliced bread.
LOL. Good one Mark. Thanks for tuning in.

Thanks for the kind words on the show Dave. I appreciate it. Thanks for tuning in and good luck on your project.

Glad that you liked it. I like the sound of your approach to the bow as well. Thanks for tuning in this week and for chiming in with your methods.

Hi Kenny, nice work, this was certainly a cut above the average show🤣

Glad that I could entertain you this week. Thanks for tuning in and for chiming in with your comment. Love it.
Very interesting project Kenny. I would make one but we buy sliced bread.

@@acutabove_woodworkingsi was having a laugh, London / cockney sense of humour 😂
I like to make things to place on the prize table for Senior Citizen bingo at our church... This will be great and plan to use walnut... Thanks...
Walnut is a great choice of woods Joel. They are going to be gorgeous. Thanks for tuning in to the show.
Can the handle be cranked so your knuckles don't hit the cutting board.
It sure can. The design can be changed any way you like. Thanks for tuning in.

LOL. Thanks for the chuckle and for tuning in.......don't quit your day job. LOL.
