Nicely done! watching this brought back sooo many cool memories. it didn't scare me this time (but I literally mentally prepared myself for the pop). 😂
I remember this game. It was a gift to my sister I believe and she liked it a lot. The pop always scared me and I believe this is what instilled my fear of toasters popping well into my college years haha even still I try to mentally prepare myself for a toaster pop although I havent jumped in awhile XD
You are not allowed to touch the peice with the other hand. You are not allowed to touch anywhere but the handle. Pieces cannot be lined up facing up. Must be scrambled and only 1 hand, otherwise its cheating according to the rule book.
@@sabriflo61 haha they maybe updated the rules. I’ve noticed so many of my childhood games - if I end up playing a newer version I have to look at the rules because they have changed since I was a kid. I feel old now…
Interesting. Growing up my version never had a timer that kept going into the negatives after the platform sprung up! Must be an expansion. Perfection: Negative Timer!
It all comes down to mechanical imperfections (No pun intended). It had no batteries and it was nothing digital in this toy. The timer continues to wind down after the board has popped up.
The spring has most be worn out in that one, or mine was assembled by a German scientist. I say that because mine would fling the pieces so high they would hit the ceiling fan and get scattered all over the room.
Completed in 40 seconds. That's fast! I'm going to have to improve my time 😁. How many times have you played Perfection or practiced prior to filming? Just curious if you had lots of practice or if this was a cold run.
Newly Awakened Hi, thanks for watching. I have owed this game since I was a kid, and did play it a lot. I of course got away from it until I dug it out again as an adult, so I admit I did do some practice runs before making my video :-).
we used to have the perfection board pop up game in 2004 but sadly it doesn't work anymore the blue Pop up don't pop out anymore but the good news the yellow pieces is in the bag and the timer is still working.
This would scare me when I was very young, the last time I tried it was in my early teen years and though I wasn't a child any more, I would still get anxiety and scared by it lol. And the noise...oh man it felt so loud!
LOL, no, I didn't have the Superfection, just the old-school version :-) 80's to early 90's toys seemed to be the best though right? You know what's funny? Remember the original Operation game? I had it and the picture of the character you operated on had no underwear on? Now in the new versions it does? I just think that's funny :-)
I got this game for Christmas of 1982, I think. LOL Fun! But the newer version doesn't work as well as the old one. Tons of complaints were posted on Amazon that the "pop-up" part doesn't really pop up. Also, I heard the timer gets stuck.
I played a game like this when I was younger but it had bigger pieces and it was colourful and you used to set the timer off and they would pop up ive been trying to find it everywhere
Wow, I didn't know even the artwork on the box got censored too! Funny how kids games are so "politicly correct" nowadays. And you're right, the pencil was a hard piece to get out!
@@endieisded this was a comment that got separated from it’s original thread, but he’s talking about the game Operation. Apparently the original the guy was naked and in the modern versions he’s wearing underwear =)
djChives95 It's part of the excitement (and anxiety lol) when it pops and the pieces go flying :-). The object was to get them all in before the timer ran out :-).
This game prepared me for life - even if I do everything right and in a timely manner, I still lose.
Best. Comment. Ever.
Just press the on/off switch after you put them all in
This game instilled anxiety and a deep rooted aversion to working under pressure.
Yet it was one of my favorite games-very masochistic indeed.
triggers anxiety levels not felt since 1984
haha this game gave you the worst anxiety in the world as a child.
Jersey Representing ikr
Jersey Representing - Seriously! I just jumped. 🤣
No way! You couldn’t pay me to play this anxiety driven nightmare! This game is a ticking time bomb!
Lol this game gave me panic attacks
Just played it with my son....it jars you everytime.🤠
Actually helped me. I lived every time I lost. Still hated the p o p.
@bennettdavis2001 it's the timer ticking away. Makes you more nervous

I SAW YOU JUMP A LITTLE
👍👍👍
look in the description. it says "it still scares me*
Nicely done! watching this brought back sooo many cool memories. it didn't scare me this time (but I literally mentally prepared myself for the pop). 😂
Thank you, and glad to hear 😉.
This is where my anxiety issues started as a kid. 😂
I remembered playing with one a long time ago when I was very young
It never scared me because I never put the timer on.
Shitebag

This scared the crap out of me as a kid, too!!!

I'm getting this for Christmas to get over my fear of sudden/loud noises

Wow watch out we have a game Nazi here.
In the official commercial it shows people breaking all these rules. Which is it Hasbro?

PLOT TWIST: perfection game explodes in face
I was expecting John Cena
This was before John Cena vines were around, LOL
I have this game and i have won and failed a few times haha and i'm impressed how fast this kid in the video went! wow! that was amazing!
Started getting goosebumps around 1:05
You're supposed to press the switch next to the timer to stop it when you finish.
+Pixel Power Never said I could beat that time. Just explaining the rules
@@KasugaSakura I think he was just showing what happened at the end if you failed.
This thing will teach you how to work under pressure.
Interesting. Growing up my version never had a timer that kept going into the negatives after the platform sprung up! Must be an expansion. Perfection: Negative Timer!
Actually this version has like 15 seconds extra but the table will jump anywhere in between them.
Its like a random amount of extra time.
It all comes down to mechanical imperfections (No pun intended). It had no batteries and it was nothing digital in this toy. The timer continues to wind down after the board has popped up.
I played this game as a child and I can confirm it’s the scariest game of all time
My grandma had one of those. I actually thought it was hilarious when it would explode 😂
The spring has most be worn out in that one, or mine was assembled by a German scientist. I say that because mine would fling the pieces so high they would hit the ceiling fan and get scattered all over the room.
I loved this game when I was a kid
I blame this game for the early development of anxiety and fear of flying projectiles.
The original name was "Stress and Anxiety: The Game!" but they thought it wouldn't sell.

I used to play this all the time when I was little. Usually I finished it but when I was upset I'd purposely put the pieces in the wrong spots
My child hood game I've ordered a new one so I can pass the fun down to my kids ohhhhh what joy ❤
I think I'd rather get the belt... Less trauma that way
Before Dying Light, and other anxiety-inducing video games, we had this. I love it!
we used to have the perfection board pop up game in 2004 but sadly it doesn't work anymore the blue Pop up don't pop out anymore but the good news the yellow pieces is in the bag and the timer is still working.
THIS GAME SCARED THE FUCKING SHIT OUT OF ME AS A KID AND PRETTY SURE IS THE ROOT OF ALL MY ANXIETY!
This was one of my absolute favorite games. I may have to try and find this now lol. It's somewhere in my parents house if I still have it.
😂just hearing that sound after 40 years brought me right back😬😬😬
My Grand Dad bought me that game for my birthday back in the 80s. :) I miss him. :'O
great run! nice to see someone play this game without the pieces all lined up neatly beforehand (cheating)😅...
My favorite game growing up!!!
The only things in the world that startle me *EVERY* goddamn time are Perfection and my toaster when I'm waiting for it to pop.
Hated the pieces flying at me SO much! This game was definitely parents testing us Gen X kids for weak hearts!
Okay we have this game too! Have you ever timed it? It says you get a min but really you get 40 seconds. It's still fun though love it!
Splendid game. Real toys. Bravo.
The amount of ptsd that the clicking sound gave me is insane
I saw that twitch your leg did when it popped. Can't hide that you got startled. XD
You completed this very fast in order for me and my friends to finish it, all three of us had to do it
Nerd Girl Thanks, I did practice quite a bit ;-).
Thanks for posting this. It brings back great memories.
I'm not afraid to admit I jumped every time.
If only they made a Perfection 2.0 that doesn't pop up when you finish it early.
Or maybe gave you a fanfare. Or at least an attaboy or something...
Haha I remember playing this game when I was younger, and it would scare me to death when it popped up. I would always get so nervouse.
I used to love that game. I want one. So much fun.
Gravity falls broght me here
I had this game when I was about 9 or 10.
Ah, my childhood!
UGH! This gave me anxiety, it still does
Good job❤

Really cool I still can't do mine your pretty fast.
The moment the tray pops up….
never frightened me
My personal record is 33 seconds with a teammate it’s 15 seconds
1:09💥 POW! GOES PERFECTION

how many people here to find out what "perfection" was after they made it in hermitcraft?
i just here looking for the nice blind guy. HEY BLIND GUY, IF YOU SEE THIS MESSAGE' PLEASE MESSAGE ME BACK! I Tink YOU ARE MUCH NICE ONES"
He can't see this. He's BLIND.
Had this one & it’s much harder sequel superfection. Credit both with helping my brain for school later on. My parents really set me up well.
Never heard of superfection just looked it up & was like oh hell Nawl 😂 seems way more complicated

This game is like timeshovk
Omg slow the video down to 0.5 for Darude - Sandstorm
+Manuel Bolanos your the reason.......
1:08 your leg shakes cuz you got scared XD
When I played the copy must've been broken or something because the pieces weren't launched like that. It wasn't at my house and the copy wasn't mine.
Who's hear from a FB post?!
Me lol A 90s group I belong to posted the commercial with the singing dude with the big chin and funky hair 🤣
So even if you manage to do it, It still pops out at you? >_> Injustice, Right there.

@olenhump2011 Impressive! :-)
You're meant to stop the timer when you're done. Obviously the poster didn't, to demonstrate the game.
THIS GAME IS MY SHIT OMF I NEED TO GET A NEW ONE
What? I thought the point of getting them in is so that when it pops up they’ll stay in place
