Even if you are not a fan of the classic Honda CB750, I am sure you will love the project presented on this video.
And why?
Because it has some unique features, that were never tried in any other custom motorcycle.
Definitely the best modern version of the Honda CR 750 I ever seen.
It was created by Paul Drake, founder of Ziggy-Moto, from the United Kingdom.

55 years ago, as a 12 year old, I was bike crazy buying magazines every month. I had bike posters on my bedroom wall and a small model of a TT racing bike with full fairing and I loved the look of it. Today I still love those styling lines and here they are appearing on cafe racers everywhere. It took me 50 years but I finally made myself a cafe racer 5 years ago and it makes me feel like a kid again. Your channel is food for my soul. Many thanks for your vlogs. Kind regards. 🇨🇦
Lol….. you wrote my story! 57 years ago, I was doing the same thing. Buying Cycle magazine and Cycle World as soon as they hit the shelf in our local drug store! I built my first cafe racer in 1967 from a ‘66 Honda CB160….. only wish I still had it. I’ve been riding all these years and the motorcycle is in my blood. Now, I’ve once again started a new version from a ‘78 Suzuki GS750 (844cc). Nowhere near finished, but someday I hope to be riding it! Take care and ride safe my friend. 🇺🇸
Thank you for sharing your story. My favourite mag was Cycle Guide. I loved Bob Braverman's editorials. Got my motorcycle license at 14 in Alberta in 1970. Been riding ever since. I wonder what our younger selves would think of what we ride today? Where does the time go!? 🇨🇦

Years ago, I had a Katana 750 (Pop-Up Headlight), and the intro to this video brought back many a good memory. As for this Honda, well, what an exquisite build, the perfect Retro/Modern blend. So good.

Just when you think you've seen it all, someone shows up showing that limits really don't exist. My gosh, I'm still an '80s teen and the Pontiac Fiero's headlights are still on my wish list. It really is a two-wheeled reinterpretation of a dance of headlights. I can only say that he left me speechless. Bravo, bravisimo!

A very beautiful machine! This Honda redefines the modern café racer. Not only is the headlight a brilliant design, it is, in itself, unique and certainly serves the purpose. Might have got the pop-up head light idea from the old 750 Katanas , but looks much better.
Wow 😮 This bike is so cool. A definite contender for this year's top award. Like so said, Paul has a brilliant mix of talent. No wonder it is the poster bike for this year's Bike Shed show.

Great looking bike. After seeing his website. Paul has a good eye for design and detail. Building this Honda 750 into a race version by hiding the headlights is slick. Racing fairings seem to look much better than street headlight versions most of the time, as shown in this example.
We can all appreciate the artist removing certain items to give the design it's full potential, but what would this bike look like with brake lights and a license plate holder? Like Jay Leno would do when someone brings him a car to review. During his drive, he would ask if anything else about the car might need attention too. If the owner says it's complete, Jay would try honking the horn. Most of the time, it doesn't make a sound!

How can someone put so much design and quality into a motorcycle and think it is safe or practical to have a TUBE sticking up off the "petrol" tank that can be snagged or hooked or even seen? The simple answer is they do ride very much or really know what they are doing. wow...give ME your budget!

This bike is beautiful, no doubt. But.... How many miles do you get out of it before at top end rebuild is necessary? The back tyre will be firing grit straight at the carbs. It just feels like another cafe racer that one can only appreciated visually.

In a lot of places you are required to have your headlight on at all times on a motorcycle so a pop up light is of little value.
Uau!!! Estou viajando ou as tomadas em alta velocidade a partir de 07:40 lembram de fato o clássico Mad Max? 😄 Acho que esses são os melhores takes de ação que já vi nesse canal.
Na verdade, esses faróis retráteis são apenas a cereja do bolo, pois todo o projeto é magnífico né.. pessoalmente minha única observação fica por conta do escape minimal: moda criada para tornar o escape tão discreto a ponto de não o enxergarmos ou considerá-lo efetivamente. 🤷♂ Mas a imponência dessa moto simplesmente passou por cima desse detalhe sem sequer tomar conhecimento.
Algo me diz que essa moto vai dar trabalho no top 10 desse ano: está cedo pra dizer isso, além de que esse ano parece estar bem forte de grandes projetos, mas sem dúvida, esse desse vídeo foi muito feliz.

Olá meu caro Robinson. Como as coisas são engraçadas. Enquanto trabalhava neste video, também pensei várias vezes no filme Mad Max com aquela Honda CB400. O ronco do motor é muito semelhante mesmo, já para não falar na carenagem elevada na frente. Muito obrigado amigo por partilhar a sua opinião. Most States require that a motorcycles headlight be illuminated when the vehicle is being ridden on-road. I agree the hidden headlights are interesting but a wasted effort other than static asthetics.

As far as I remember, this is the only custom bike i ever seen, with a pop up headlight. You are probably thinking on the pop up turn signals from the Honda GL1000 from DS Motorcycles. It is not? :)
