he is the only american idol winner i ever liked. more respect for covering radiohead.
David likes Radiohead and wanted to do a cover of one of their songs. David ALSO does his OWN material and has done so for quite some time now - even BEFORE American Idol. So, he really doesn't NEED to do ANYONE's "covers," but chooses them very carefully and deliberately. I don't understand anyone finding fault with that or with him, for that matter. He seems to be one of the sweetest and most humble entertainers out there today...doing a lot of charity UNDER THE RADAR...AND he IS talented.
He is the only American Idol I ever liked. He really put all of himself in his performances.

What I like most about him is, that whether he's singing a cover or one of his own songs, he feels every single song he sings. He has a true passion for music.
Watched this again for the first time in quite a while. So gorgeous! His falsetto melts me. And the close-ups are to die for!
It's been awhile since I heard him sing and I had forgotten how great a singer he is.......
I adore Radiohead and this song, and I may not be a huge fan of David Cook but this was superb! Whether he writes the best music or not doesn't mean he can't sing like a beast and seeing as he was singing a song from one of the greatest bands alive, I'm okay with that.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to see David sing with feeling and emotion. He is such a well rounded man. I really don't think the world knows what they have in David and it's sad to think so many people will miss out on his beauty which comes in all shapes and sizes - heart, body and soul. I'm a fan for LIFE!!!
I've heard both and like both. It's thanks to David Cook that I even heard this song....it made me want to check out the original, so I would think Mr. Yorke would be happy to know he's getting more fans thanks to D. Cook. I admit that while I listen to both, I definitely listen to David's much more!! Gorgeous!

That voice has blossomed from very good to nonpareil-- gorgeous falsetto, too.I will be following every step you take, though, until I hear your cover of Every Breath You Take, a song I have cherished for decades, and one that I have always thought you could do more than justice to. Radiohead is my favorite band as well. I really dig looking for different interpretations of some of my favorite songs, that's how I ended up here. I love that someone stood up and said what needed to be said. This bickering turns the whole thing into some sick competition and crashes my buzz. All artists have something to offer to somebody. If it's not your thing then lay off. I give you a solid thumbs up maestro.
