    Lovely restoration Kev of a great early casting. I always stick with matt or satin black for base plates but good on you for trying the 'Blueing method. 👍👍

    Very smart restoration, I had a shock when you said you brought that blueing liquid 😂,definitely not worth the trouble.

    I get the application of the bluing but I'm not sure I'm that much of a purist to be bothered with all the stages - as you say, a bit elaborate for a surface that will hardly ever see the light of day. Nice result on the shell, though - quite elegant coachwork these buses. Good one!
