This theme brings back memories of when I used to hold up an old cassette player to the TV and record video game music. I had a puppy named Sweet Pea when I was recording the MM7 soundtrack. She barked a couple of times when I did, specifically when recording this theme. Even now, I can still hear the yips, no matter what arrangement of it I listen to. It always puts a smile on my face.
Ohhhhhh yes, my absolute favorite Wily level theme. This tune left such an impression on me my first time through MM7; as much as I like other Wily level themes, none of them will top this one in my book. And this is another fantastic arrangement; I especially love the detail of letting the guitars go just a little further into the loop and fading out. Instantly has a spot in the favorites playlist 😛
Re-playing 7 and always loved the calmness this track had at the start before getting into it's typical wily-style. Portrays the arrival to wily really nicely in mm7
@@novapulser9396 I like to think it showcases Mega Man's state of mind at that point. He's sick and tired of Wily and his schemes and the new friend he thought he'd made turned out to be a covert agent. I don't blame him for being salty.
This theme always makes me think of Rock's rage and how terrifying it would be, considering that he likely did _not_ take well to being betrayed and also _genuinely considered murdering Wily._
This was my favorite wily stage theme for awhile until Abandoned Memory (MM10 Wily 1) overtook it. I love how uncharacteristically despondent this sounds. Works as pretty good foreshadowing for what Mega Man attempts to do later.
Imagine if you invited your new friend over for lunch and gaming night and then suddenly he drives by your house, shooting the place up n down, breaking as much shit as he can, and then the dude's dad, the same guy who turned not only most of your family against you, as well as like, half the community, the Russian exchange students, your older brother's friends, and the sports team, as well as two four-on-one hitman squads, and it suddenly clicks. How absolutely knuckle-fuckingly pissed would you be? The same guy who manipulated your entire world just to take you out of it, and all to gutpunch your dad out of spite, and now he knows where you live, and his kid's as powerful as you and he's out for your blood. You've had to kill before countless times to survive, each time more painful than the last, and ceaselessly bringing forth unimaginable rage, hidden within layers of traumatized fear. If you can make it to this old man's massive warehouse again, take out everyone guarding him, and bring his weaponry crashing down, do you have what it takes to put a bullet in his brain? If you do, there's no doubt you'll be considered an inhuman monster, but if you don't, there's a chance that you'll live with this terrifying overtone to your very existence until one of you is lost. _Now imagine the only difference between you and everyone else is that you have titanium skin, bright teal power armor, a jetboard dog and a Swiss Army Knife of a plasma blaster arm, and your eyes seethe not with human emotion, but with LED lighting and a score to settle once and for all._ For me this exact mix of the track fits this overall tone and mood PERFECTLY. Something about the X1 guitars and buzzy synths, as well as just the overall feel of the original track makes it shine brighter than Wily's Castle exploding from miles away. I'm not a numbers guy, but like, freakin' 12/10, dude
Keep also in mind, the guy was supposed to be in jail and finally done for...and then he escapes and proves jail is nothing but a vacation summer house for him. So, basically not even the law and gunned people can actually properly stop him and when you beat him here and turn him to jail he's likely gonna escape again.... ...Megaman was on the verge of an utter breakdown and sadly one can't blame him.
@@clownplayer7265you have described the emotions megaman would’ve felt in this game perfectly, bravo! I honestly consider this game to be final in the classic timeline, because it’s way too dark to just be another instalment in the franchise, especially considering how happy and vibrant megaman 8 is in contrast.
Awesome track. You can feel Mega Man wanting to give Dr. Wily another chance but he has tricked him and his family too many times to believe him. He sadly doesn't believe Dr. Wily anymore
It's fantastic! I was waiting to hear your arrangements of this soundtrack! as it is one of my favourites. And the truth is that it has not disappointed me at all.
Thanks a bunch! This imposing theme is so underrated and there’s only a small amount of faithful remixes out there. Thank you for adding to that list 😄😄
Because it's more or less proven that box art had to look manly or aggresive to sell to Americans for some odd reason. Worked for Mega Man and also works for Kirby.
@@Akabalthy Yes, really. Kirby's eyes everywhere else are happy but only in the american box are are they mad or angry or aggresive looking. You can look it up yourself. This is old knowledge for me since I lived through this stuff.

Sad to see someone lose there sanity
That’s adorable! I like your pfp, too.
That’s actually a pretty good story

Easily one of my fave Wily Stage themes. The composers/arrangers outdid themselves.

If I had to be honest, I really wanna hear Wily Stage 2 from Megaman 7
Yes! I love that theme, especially the opening.
Probably the first time in the series that a Wily stage sounds like a Sigma Stage. Around the right time for it given the game and the timeframe.
This theme always makes me think of Rock's rage and how terrifying it would be, considering that he likely did _not_ take well to being betrayed and also _genuinely considered murdering Wily._
If megaman only had the meganuts to cap wily in the face, but that wouldn't make for a sequel I suppose haha
One of the best tracks from Mega Man 7. Your version is amazing as usual 🙂

One of my favorite Wily Stage themes. Like you said, it's so emotional and melancholy...

this is my favorite wily theme, i think is so awesome, you can even feel how MegaMan is sad and frustrated of having to face wily again
Awesome track.

Megaman tired of wily and his shit is wrestling with the choice to end him, that is the tone of this track for me to finally break the one robot rule.

Could we hear a spring man?
Ah… reminds me of a _Mega Man Maker_ level I made years ago… a Doc Robot version of Slash Man’s stage. With “Doc Skull” and “Doc Napalm”.
