Just over a minute in "It may surprise you that I'm running a build based on intelligence". [looks at every other video on the channel ranking high-int builds in the top tier every time] Nope, really not surprised.
This depends on the build, high intelligence builds are intimidated more than say a rhino by a spider because they know the spider can kill them while rhinos don't, it only makes intimidation fail against builds they know they can win against in battle.
Dashgull Well the Human faction’s especially susceptible to ‘placebo’ intimidation as their ability to share knowledge has led to the generation of false stigmas amongst each other. This false stigma, however is starting to show signs of passing as several clans within the Human faction have begun to spread knowledge of the actual lethality of the arthropod faction, and have now even begun to realize their high-XP potential under their ‘farming’ tech.

@@mrcheese8597 there is a force quit option available to builds with high enough intelligence to develop the debuff "depression", and if said debuff is not negated by another high intelligence player with the "psychology" specialization or a clan member with the "show love and affection" skill (not necessarily of the same build, a support class like dogs with their "good boy" aura also works), the high intelligence player with the debuff can use said force quit once they have spent some prep time in the "ideation" phase and have acquired some crafted tools to assist in that. However i'll point out that this force quit is generally considered sub-optimal, since it inflicts a massive morale debuff in all clan members, especially the ones who fail to prevent it through the "show love and affection" skill and/or who see the character model of the offline player, sometimes leaving them with the "depression" debuff as well and possibly starting a chain of force quits with devastating effects on the server, and additionally not much is known on what the player experiences after the force quit, with some claiming Outside is a permadeath game with nothing else after it and others claiming there is some sort of "afterlife" server for post-game content (name and characteristics vary between localizations), however those who claim the latter also put forth that accessing that server via force quit from the current server of Outside is a form of cheating and therefore those players will play in hard mode and get targeted by special hostile NPCs (you know how in serious sam 3 people who pirated the game get chased around the map by an unkillable boss monster? Basically that) and then there is even a third faction claiming that after a game over a character will prestige and start over from scratch in NG+ with different starting positions depending on their previous playthrough, however this group, like the second, also believes there are negative side effects to accessing this content by force quitting, since the content is supposedly tied to an invisible stat called karma which determines the tier and special bonuses of your new starting class, and force quitting inflicts a massive karma penalty, possibly locking you out of the more favourable builds like "human" with the "from a well off family" starting gift or "dog" with the "reliable human ally" companion and forcing you to choose bottom tier builds or builds with a penalty such as a deactivated limb. Basically to sum it up force quitting is generally a bad idea since it's not obligatory ("psychology" specializations or clan members can prevent it), it causes a debuff in said clan members, it locks you out of your character completely with no reversal if successful and, if there is NG+ or post game content, it significantly hampers you. However there is an exception. Sometimes the "force quit" option can appear to players without the "depression" debuff or similar debuffs, but who instead have a high "principles and morality" secondary stat which is the result of intelligence. Those with this high stat may force quit not as a sign that they are fed up with the game but as an aggressive mental move towards people attacking their "principles and morality" stat, choosing the unknown of a force quit to inspire their allies against their common enemy. An example of this would be Cato "Uticense", who as the gamertag implies was from the "Utica" location in the "Italy" server during the "hegemony of Rome" game era, specifically the "shift from republic to empire" event, and since he was against this event and its proponents like Julius Caesar, one of the most famous players of the human build of all time, instead of accepting Caesar's requests and aiding him in forming the empire, he force quit to spite him and save his ideals. This move, generally negative, has instead been portrayed by many players as positive, and an excellent workaround of the meta, to the point that future player "Dante Alighieri", still in the "Italy" server but during the "late Medieval" game era, used his "writing" specialization in the "art and culture" tree to activate his ultimate capstone ability, creating a document called "The Divine Comedy" reporting the quest log, in-game chats and much else for lots of players who had completed their run and were in the post game content (he believed this instead of permadeath or NG+), elevating to legendary rank both himself for using the skill and all players mentioned within the document, including said Cato Uticense, who instead of being server-locked in the griefer section called "Hell", specifically the area reserved for force quitters known as "suicide forest", was inside this document the guardian to the waiting lobby and training ground (Antipurgatory and Purgatory respectively) used to access the good part of the "afterlife" server known as "Heaven" due to his already mentioned impeccable "principles and morality" secondary stat. I apologize for such a long winded explaination of Cato, Dante and his document, but being a low level player of the "Italy" server myself, i have been forced to learn all about this document by a "teaching" specialized high level player to increase my experience in the "art and culture" tree, which isn't a bad thing in and of itself but i'm going for a "STEM" tree specialization so i would have prefferred more extensive training in that area. I'd rather be a specialist than a jack-of-all-trades. Anyway, thanks for reading.

@@elijahsellers3727 fair enough, but if you remember the dilo as a character was a pretty decent size, about 20 feet in length. They would body a raptor if they were in the same version. You can actually see this battle if you play on the jurassic patch and use the 'Era combination' mod. It's pretty fun. But each build is fun and exciting in its own way. In the current version I am doing a run as Human, it's not that great. But I did a previous run as a cat build, that one was pretty fun.

I think he was refering to the meta back then which was not intelligence oriented.
Early players always take time to figure out the best strategies.
Low intelligence makes you more susceptible to intimidation?
Me: *Chitters in arachnid.*
This depends on the build, high intelligence builds are intimidated more than say a rhino by a spider because they know the spider can kill them while rhinos don't, it only makes intimidation fail against builds they know they can win against in battle.
Dashgull
Well the Human faction’s especially susceptible to ‘placebo’ intimidation as their ability to share knowledge has led to the generation of false stigmas amongst each other. This false stigma, however is starting to show signs of passing as several clans within the Human faction have begun to spread knowledge of the actual lethality of the arthropod faction, and have now even begun to realize their high-XP potential under their ‘farming’ tech.

As other have said before: "The Outside" graphics is perfect but the gameplay is slow and boring.
