- I finally got tired of the old orange gauges in my is300 and decided to change it up a bit. Changing the color is super easy and as simple as swapping some bulbs in the combination meter out for some colored led's!

Love the orange, I would never change it personally but I get why some people might want a brighter setup..

Same to be honest, and I also find the orange to be easier on the eyes when driving at night than the bright blue light.
i love everybodys stories about how they fell in love with the is300 and eventually got one. i was working at park place lexus in 2001 as a service porter. when these things rolled fresh off the line i was drooling. parking customers is300 was a dream and was determined to get one one day. the time and money aligned in 2013 when i bought my 1 owner 2002 silver IS. she sits well loved in the garage as i type this! best realistic dream car there ever was!

Dude you gotta swap out the trac control (T4 bulb), ect power(T3), gear shift(T5 74-24), and cigarette lighter ring(T5 74-24)! I took the ashtray chord out and spliced it into cigarette lighter ring. Also doing your turn signals and any other dash indicator blue or pink whatever color you want adds a dope touch (T5 74-24).
I have a question, I recently did my whole dash lights, my CEL and my signals lights don’t turn on? Is it programmed to the vehicle or do I need to turn over the lights
The OEM amber bulbs rock. Keepin mine stock! The white looks pretty nice tho. Good job.

this is a sick and very simple mod, thanks for the video! i really like the end result with the gauge cluster! i would probably do white gauge cluster, blue nob controls and then get an orange for the LCD clock to match the original but still look better.

Just spotted this video and thought I'd just comment about how some colors will screw up your night vision. Red and green preserve it the best, blue is slightly better than white. Literally why Saabs have a "night panel" model where every other dash light turns off besides I think the speedo, which is green.

I tried both ways off camera but there was too much light bleeding through to the other gauges to make it look intentional. I'll have to figure something else out... 🤔

Maaaaaan, I’ve done this last year. I got the agua blue lights, changed them out without an issue. Last week I decided to change them to white LED’s. The gauge cluster was a success. I then went to the climate control and changed them. Once I turned on the lights, they came on for less than a second and all my gauge cluster, climate control LED’s, and seat warmers turned off. I checked the gauge fuse on the driver side kick panel. It’s good. Do you have some advice for me? I was just thinking of ordering a new dimmer switch and climate control, but I don’t want to waste 80$ and that might not fix my problem

Colour looks nice, but the brightness is way too high for a cabin. Exterior of the car looks smart too fella. Do you get any issues with authorities in regards to the headlamps? they look very blue...

I do like the oem color but will not deny the white is clean on the guages I'd leave the dash orange

I used the link for the bulbs you used and they don't sit all the way in the bulb seat, did you have this problem too or maybe they just sit loose?
I just tried installing mine and they are loose and my lights also do not turn on

Hey I just got an 01 auburn sky pearl I saw on one forum somebody said they only made about 1400 in that color? I've been looking and looking and I cannot find any info about sales numbers relating to color or package options. Can any other is owners verify this or point me in the right direction? If it's true I think mine might be pretty rare it's in great shape 111k miles

Bro is the stereo connected to the speakers in standard mode or network mode ?
Stereo feeds speaker level signals to converter, that feeds the amp low level signal then the amp sends speaker signals to the speakers, it's a little weird but without bypassing factory amp this is the only way to do it
What coolant do you put in the is300?
I personally use a mix of toyota red coolant and distilled water!
Always distilled water, never tap water. Love those LED headlights.

You talking bulbs or housings? My housings are both factory, one has the reflectors painted black the other is a stock chromey. The bulbs are all the cheapest bulbs I could find on amazon lol

I’m sorry, this is a really bad mod. The factory orange/amber lighting is both beautiful, and it preserves night vision. This just looks cheap and trashy.

Stock headlight housings have small bulbs in them that illuminate the housings. I literally just swapped the stock ones for Amazon led bulbs 🤘🏼
