Just starting to watch this documentary. I thought Brittany had driven to go pick up Todd. Now she’s calling her mother to bring her cigarettes because they all share a vehicle. Why didn’t the store clerk get her address and call 911? When Todd went in house first, why didn’t Brittany jump back into vehicle, lock doors and tell Chris to drive off and go to police station? When Chris contacted store clerk, second chance, why didn’t they both call police and advise of situation? Did Chris think he could just order Todd to leave and physically remove him alone? I’m starting to think Chris really was the shooter. If not, why did Brittany lie? With so much confusion, why didn’t police swab Brittany and Chris’ hands at the scene? Were Brittany and Chris given lie detector tests? Was Todd ever found to have a weapon in his possession? If not, it appears Brittany had chances to run. Even Chris found Todd in kitchen alone looking for something to eat. No judgments but for someone clean just trying to get kids back, looks like a lot of empty beer cases in trash. Brittany’s mom was very smart to research and find the “stand your ground” defense. I can’t believe Todd’s family wanted Brittany to accept a 25 year plea deal when they knew their son had raped and strangled Brittany, was holding her hostage and was choking her brother Chris and strung out on Meth. It’s still strange to me that Brittany wanted her mother to come to her home and save her. Her mother could have gotten hurt and as it was she killed Todd because he was choking her brother.
