Shell Va'a wins the 2024 Catalina Crossing

The ‪@TheBroadcastBraddahs‬ invited me to help with their live stream of the 2024 Catalina Crossing canoe race. This was the 65th annual crossing race and man it was awesome! I hope you enjoy this video and I can not wait to come back!

Than you so much! I was the official drone pilot on the live stream. The footage looks better after color grading and editing the 4k shots vs the 720p live stream shots;)

@@BradStyron The noisy, live pattern of the ocean also plays havoc with the real-time broadcast compression algorithm ( too much motion all over the place ). Ditto with the Hilo World Sprints footage we saw recently. I assume that's why it takes a lot of post-processing on the raw footage to make such images look good.
