In fact, I personally think that BTS is different from other groups in K-pop. I've been trying to listen to other bands, I've liked individual songs, but nothing has stuck with me. On the other hand, BTS songs seem to enchant me and hit me right in the soul.
Same with me. Nothing against other groups who I believe also work hard and very talented. But with BTS music I pretty much enjoy everything they put out.

In Dope they are the try hards, in Fire they are saying to not try to hard and it's okay to have fun and be a looser too. BTS have a lot of mirror songs. Try another pair as well: Save Me vs. I'm Fine. 💜

Both address Korean youth who the press and previous generations have labeled the" giving up generation". Fire flips Dope's don't lose hope and find happiness by working hard toward your dreams to the idea that part of being young is making mistakes and experiencing a special period in your life. BTS says it is ok to lose and those calling you a loser are spoons, referring to golden or silver spooned critics who judge from a position of having a lot. You set your youth on fire being you regardless of their demanding you follow a singular righteous path. Ultimately you will win from having had a real youth which is not shackled to the system. For me the repetition of the word today has rallying anthem feel when you know its context. In that way it is similar to Not Today.
Totally agree and great explanation! On the surface it seems like just a hype song (which it is), but on the deeper level it's hyping up youth who are struggling with transition to adulthood. It tells you it's also okay not to know what you are doing, be aimless, make mistakes, and just be passionate about what you are doing. It's also rebelling against the system, just set everything on fire and don't worry about society's expectations. I love it and wish I had this song when I was a teenager :)

This has one of the more epic BTS choreography dance practice videos, it really shows off how intense the hole choreography is and is well worth a watch too. Live they almost bring the roof down when they perform it. They are extremely aggressive and get more intense as it goes. Very much Fire.
Fire has such a beat that you cant help but to dance to, also the lyrics are so sing alongable especially the chorus and omg the chorep is amazing and on point especially those quick feet movements
BTS has always very high quality music videos but I usually enjoy live performances even more. This is a good one to see live. My appreciation for most of their songs grew after watching a performance.

THIS song was the very first song I heard from them back in 2018 and I was hooked….went down the BTS rabbit hole and never came back up. Their versatility in their music is on another level. They are not afraid to try different genres. I respect them so much as a group and as individuals. Their performances are truly phenomenal especially LIVE. The topics they rap/sing about….THATS what sets them apart from other groups. They are deep! You can’t put them in a “category”. They are their on genre.
What I love about this song is that “Fire” is clearly a call-out to people, no matter their country, economic background, or depressed situation, to get hyped and set fire to class restrictions, dismissive haters, or their own inhibitions. To let go.

For some context, that is because this song and the album [The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever] is kind of like a grand finale to the HYYH (The Most Beautiful Moment in Life) era. This was when BTS talked about the youth and their struggles. I would recommend checking out songs like Baepsae/Silver Spoon and the explanation video for it. Fire wraps up the era by telling the youth to "burn up all the problems and concerns" and live your life the way you want. Interesting fact: this era never really ended; the title track for their recent anthology album Proof is named Yet to Come (The Most Beautiful Moment). BTS has always talked about issues relevant to the times.
Agreed with someone else, Fire not in my BTSplaylist but live, well that’s a different matter! BTS all have such incredible stage presence, amazing in a band of 7 very different people. The choreography for this is iconic for BTS. I know music is your thing but the dance practice for this is sweet. Still plugging away for the rap line Outro “Tear” live performance. It's true, as soon as you recognize the formula that Kpop uses it will all start to sound like copy+paste work. Which really separates BTS from the rest of Kpop, it's just BTSpop there's no other way to describe it.
Not Today MV is fire too. Or maybe you should try a rap song like UGH, the one you liked at the FESTA medley. Or Ddaeng, Baepsae, Cyphers, Otro Tear. From there you have tons of amazing songs to listen to.
Black Swan is the song that made me ARMY, FIRE is one of my favorite HYPE songs, and it's a BTS staple at every concert. I've seen a few online concerts and been to two of them in person. At PTD On Stage, they did a switch up on the music, it was great in concert.

The rapper you like is the leader, RM. He’s awesome. You should check out his solo raps. Do You is really cool. The percussion is created by metronomes, spray paint and the rattle the can makes when you shake it. Really different and cool.
You might try Run BTS from their latest album if you haven’t already done that. No music video but you can watch a line distribution lyric video. Tip: don’t watch the one where they have crosses of light over their faces in the photos. They look cool, but the translation is off.
