    Please could you consider doing a video on your Mika arm , I have the black one .
    Love how they look and function - I really like how the mic thread spins

    IIRC the broadcaster works with the SM2 shockmount. Not the PSM1 which was designed just for the Procaster and its USB counterpart.
    While still not designed with the mic in mind, it does have clear room for the little LED bump or at least what I remembered from my local broadcast studio a decade ago.

      I have been looking for the PSM2. Do you know where to buy it? (Netherlands)

      @@DennisvanLeeuwen Reportertore has it and it also features the Broadcaster in the compatibility list so I guess my memory hasn't been completely faded.

    Sorry if I missed it in the video, but what do you record it on, I see Rodecaster Pro on the table, it sounds so damn good, especially on your voice, but I think that I never heard the Broadcaster sound this good

      Yes, it’s recorded on the Rodecaster with all processing turned off.

    How does this do with background rejection in your opinion? I'm considering using this in a probably untreated room. I'm not hearing much reverb at all, which is solid for a condenser, but it looks like you might have some room treatment in place?

    • @tdcattech
      @tdcattech  4 года назад +1

      I could easily test that for you. The room I use is very much treated but the rest of the house is terrible!! 😕

      I wouldn't avoid a mic because of colour but a matt black version of this would look beautiful! 👍🏻

      @dantheman_youtube 3 года назад

      @@tdcattech I do agree with you there , not to avoid a mic because of its colour ! Just I’m a bit ocd , and don’t want to have to spray it. I have a couple of rode mics , the nt1 and nt usb . It is very comparable to the NT1, it has a very similar sound.
      I also have a shure sm7b, and considering it it is a dynamic mic it is also very comparable to the broadcaster , obviously the broadcaster is a lot brighter , but doesn’t sound to dis similar to the sm7b

    Can it be used with Sam Broadcaster Pro?

    • @tdcattech
      @tdcattech  4 года назад

      Absolutely. You could use an XLR to USB adapter so you had a dedicated sound device for your mic to select in SAM. That’s just one way though.

      @@tdcattech Thanks, Definitely not the price I was expecting tho! Do you recommend any cheaper ones? I'm looking at the rode PSA1, but even that is quite expensive.

    • @tdcattech
      @tdcattech  4 года назад +1

      Rode PSA-1 is decent. You definitely do not have to spend £350 on a mic arm but I see it like a tripod. It's an investment. You can easily keep a mic arm for 10+ years if you buy something solid that works for you. I think the Rode is a happy compromise!

      @@Gershy13 I have the Rode Broadcaster with the PSA-1 and WS2 windscreen, I think its a great combo! The PSA-1 can be a little annoying with the weight of the broadcaster on the collar which has to be tightened up every so often, but generally doesnt bother me too much. I tried a cheaper arm before that and sent it back
