OMG OMG OMG, this just hit my feed! I worked with him in Ohio when I was an administrator for the Ohio Board of Regents and he was a consultant with the Ohio State Board for Proprietary Education. We reviewed degree program requests and performed accreditation reviews for the for-profit colleges, trade schools and other institutions all over Ohio. He was a consultant after he retired from his position as Vice President for Instruction of Columbus (Ohio) State Community College. I gotta check if he’s still alive and living in the Columbus, Ohio area. Man, this makes me so HAPPY. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 EDIT 1/14/21: Colonel Brown is still alive and well! I spoke to him for about 90 minutes over the thanksgiving weekend and I’ve been in contact with him via email since then. I’m so happy.
I can feel your excitement and though this was posted two years ago I am very happy that you had a chance to reconnect with this amazing man. I can only imagine what it would be like to see someone I knew long ago appearing on a You Tube video and being honored for his war service.
What a treat, that you were able to meet such a fine gentleman. One that also played a big part in history and paved the way for many other men and women to come. Sadly, it looks like Lt Col Brown passed away in 2023, may he rest in peace. Happy thanksgiving to you and yours ✌️♥️
You both were lucky to meet such a man. It's sad how few men and women from the time are left. I used to love talking to veterans from the second world war as a kid. Even then, their numbers were sadly starting to decline (I'm 31). Now it's all the guys from korea and Vietnam. Sadly, I feel like the guys from Vietnam are passing a lot faster than the men from WW2 imho.
I'm a retired military pilot circa Vietnam and greatly appreciate this video as I now have a new hero! What a great man Mr. Brown is!

Great interview. Thank you for your service Colonel Brown!
God Bless this amazing man. Thank you sir!
‘Where do we get such men?’ I have found another role model, who happens to also be a hero. I’m an AWB, but would have been proud to work for him.

Red tails baby, let's make sure they know who we are. Flying p-40's in Africa, just an incredible American story.
