The year was July off 1986' while walking through the local record store... I came across this band "STRYPER" with a Christian base music. I rolled the dice on the purchase of this new found metal rock band that till this day I truly love & enjoy through n through!
The thing about all this that gets me, well there are two things actually and dont get me wrong, I absolutley love stryper as a band and I absolutely love the guys in the band. I think they are sincere and genuine in their motives I really do. But one thing about stryper and my bro brought it up and I never thought about it at all through the 80's, they missed the 90's, but even still to this day you see a pyramid on all or most of the covers back in the 80's. That really bothers me and I have asked this before and I want to know why the pyramid? Number two stryper had no control of but it's sad but it was like satan waited for stryper to open the door for these so called christian heavy metal bands to infiltrate the hard work and dedication stryper put into all this. These so called christian metal bands are not for God. I dont know if stryper should have left it alone and stayed out of the metal seen and done something different or what but they did open the door for the impostors.

Great concert and the video was shot great. These guys have been recording awesome music and spreading the word of God for almost 40 years and just seem to get better and all for the Glory of God. If they keep doing what the Lord wants, then there is no stopping them. What a blessing their music is to me.

Stryper breaking out the Judas Priest cover! That was always the best thing about Stryper, that they were completely uncompromising. They were unabashedly Christian and gave out Bibles at their shows. They were also unabashedly metal and never afraid to be part of the subculture. And back in the 80s when they became famous, the church had turned its whole back on the metalheads, so that was itself one Hell of a stand.

Man they sound so incredible live!! I love how powerful and heavy they sound live, the raw crunch of the guitars and the killer drums sound!! Wish whoever mixed their albums would not soften it down as much as they do..they sound GREAT! I think they just get better with age!! Love Stryper!

Michael and Oz get most of the props, and I do compliment their awesome tone and history of great solos although lately too many just are blah fretboard masturbation noodling around scales with no direction or emotion.... Anyways I want to praise Robert, he is such a killer tasty drummer. His playing is supremely tasty and just reeks of happiness. In terms of sheer musicality and style, Robert is one of the best drummers in rock ever. Sure, others will say that there are technically better, faster, more complex drummers, etc etc etc. But as a listener, Robert is just the best with a unique pleasurable recognizable style which is really rare for a drummer. All praise to Robert Sweet.
