And it's really him. The DVD commentary says he quickly picked up the piano so they never had to use the hand double they'd hired 'cause Jensen was better.
That's a lie lol. This video came up because I watched an interview of him saying he only learnt 8 notes & the close up of his hands isn't him. He was asked if he had any stories from Dark Angel. Maybe he was joking when he said if was all him. As if he could actually play the piano that well. 😹🍿 He's not *_ACTUALLY_* a genetically engineered clone with superhuman abilities, like Alec. It's just a tv show. Not real.
He didn’t actually play (as is the case for most actors who don’t play the instrument). There was an actual pianist who recorded the songs, but the director chose to keep the footage of his hands “playing” because they looked prettier, according to IMDb. :P The piano itself was most likely silent, therefore unplayable, which is what most shows do-they film the actor playing it, pretending to make the music, but they add a professional to record and then apply it to the episode. Of course, he had to learn a chunk to make it look real for the camera, but he doesn’t actually play to my knowledge. Just simple songs like “Chopsticks”. Sorry to burst your bubble-being a pianist myself, I wanted it to be true too, which is why I looked it up lol
@@pillowboy7995 Actually, at a convention, he said he played part of the song, so when the camera zooms into the hands only, that's the pianist, but Jensen DID play some of the song and it's really him playing when they show him all the way. He had to play like eight chords or something is what he said.
Yeah, I'm gonna choose to believe what Jesnsen _ACTUALLY_ said, when asked about Dark Angel, which is that he only learnt eight notes & they used a double for the close-ups, rather than him secretly being the next Beethoven & the only proof being something someone apparently said lol! 😹🍿
She is so harsh to poor Alec. Like, yes he has issues, but he was never taught any better. And it isn't like Max didn't spend years living for herself.
People who have watched this episode, there is a piano song when he finds Rachel in the coma and when he is at the graveyard that I have looked for forever. Help!
If u put in Dark Angel full Episodes, you can find it on youtube, but u can't find it anywhere else unfortunately. And it's on a small square in the corner of the screen.

It's really not. Jensen said himself that he only learnt eight notes & they used a double for the close ups. Even I can play more than eight notes. Not exactly impressive.
Jensen Ackles playing piano _extremely_ well!?!?!?! YESSIR

This video was posted 9 years ago but the comments are so new!
Chopin and Jensen Ackles share the same birthday!
Wow Jensen really played those songs. He's so cute in Dark Angel. 💗🎶💕

@@ginnykang943 Yeah I thought it was too good to be true that he could play that good.

You posted this video on Dean Winchester's birthday? Awesome
That 'who cares' comment from Max really made me dislike her for the rest of the show.
Her cold response to Alec getting shot in Freak Nation really did it for me.

I mean. He did try to kill the guy she loves. Then ruined her chances of fixing that. Sooooo…hard to blame her really.

Good playing you do it
I seriously need a link to rewatch this show

Is there anything he can't do?!

@@solongsuicide9 Then the writers in the DVD commentary are mistaken, 'cause they did say that.

Zilda kalk de bom dia amor ❤😀👍
Dark Angel? Hmmm ok. LOL
Yes, Jensen Ackles played identical twins Ben and Alec in Dark Angel (2000-2002). It's a cyberpunk series starring Jessica Alba.
