I definitely agree with your point BUT what I think some of those girls asking questions might be in a similar situation I have been in. I got my period when I was 10 and from 10-18 I tried tampons over and over and over again & they never actually went in fully (& extremely painful might I add). By the time I was 18 I was fully fed up & went through the process of getting a gynaecologist.
When I finally got in to visit a gyno I was told in order to be able to even fit s tampon in I had to lose my virginity or lube up a tampon and practice putting it in and out (which would be quite painful as well) multiple times a month until it finally worked. (I had no interest in losing my virginity but also did not want to go guy tampons & lube to ‘practice’).
I’m not trying to speak for those girls but just show an alternate perspective on this topic of virginity & periods.
I was sure I’d never be able to use a menstrual cup before I lost my virginity even though I wanted to to help reduce my waste. I was often curious about if I could use one.
I also agree that the hymen will stretch through everything & it’ll be just fine. I was told by my doctor that because the tissue around the vagina swells during a period, it’s harder to put in a tampon (or cup) because the swollen tissue creates such a small space that it won’t stretch without causing pain. It’s a problem I had no idea about until 8 long years into my period & a lot of girls actually have a similar issues but just don’t speak on it.

Oh my God I think I'm going through teh same thing right now, I just tried on the smallest tampon and it wouldn't go in, I even tried stretching my hymen and it still hurt like hell, I guess it's because I'm on my period and swollen like you mentioned 🥺I even bought a menstrual cup today because I'm tired of pads and their leakage and waste but then sadly I can't use both

I started my period 11 years ago. The first time I tried to use a tampon I went through an entire box and I still had no idea which hole to put it in 😂 I highly recommend looking at your body in the mirror and exploring it. There is no shame in doing that. Looking at your reproductive anatomy in a mirror is no different from signing head shoulders knees and toes as a toddler to learn about body parts. When you grow up it just becomes 🎤 Clitorisssss labiaaaa mon pubisss and VAGINAAAAAAAAAA 🎤

"still taboo" it legit used to be easier to talk to girls and women about this stuff. Silly little girls saying "ew" when their parents try to educate them have ruined it

Please don’t forget us ladies who use reusable pads 😌 they are much different than disposable ones because of the cleaning process involved and what not

Do you have any thoughts on vaginismus? It's made tampon insertion just about impossible for me because of the pain.

Yes, girl! I have the exact same problem! I have special dilators but still, tampons are just “scary”!
