Deegan describes the race, turning her first laps in an Xfinity Series car, if she will race more NXS races, chats with teammate David Starr and team owner Bobby Dotter, who raced her the hardest, what she will remember most about the race, and advice for young aspiring racers.

Being willing to learn and not measure herself by someone else's stats is huge. I'm telling you all if someone steps up and provides the equipment and resources she's going to do very well.

Danica was a real driver with real skill, this girl just has the last name Deegan. That’s how she got her spot. She is a terrible driver at the pro level. Always has excuses. Always “equipment” never her own talent.

Considering the first time in an Xfinity car was the 20-30mins of practice before qualifying, I would say that this is a stellar result. Come on someone, step up and fund this lady for a full time Xfinity ride!!!
Hope she get the funds to run full time... She is used to high horse power and low down force so I think she will do a lot better in the. Xfinity series

Old Grizz, that's FALSE. Shawna Robinson was the first female driver to win a NASCAR series race and she did that in 1988.

Old Grizz, FALSE. Danica Patrick had a 5th place finish in the Xfinity series in 2011, her debut also. 6th place finish in ARCA in 2010.

The sooner she leaves truck the better her career outlook will be. She's been underwhelming in the truck series. I think she could be a real contender in the Xfinity series

Ford said with certainty in the past 24 hours that they’ll find her the best fit for her in one of the series.

I’ve been critical of her in the Truck Series, but honestly, I feel she could be competitive in the Xfinity series. She did a great job today.
Some drivers are just not suited to trucks. I think that the cars race quite differently, and she vibes with the way the car handles way more than trucks. Might be worth moving her up rather than keeping her in trucks

She grew up on dirt and that’s high horse power and throttle control. These Xfinity cars seem to fit that driving style way better than the trucks and she might be really competitive in the right situation

I covered Danica when she was in Indy, Danica didnt talk to anyone unless it was mandatory like the drivers press room, which i had the opportunity to cover. Ive seen Danica Sit 10-15 feet from little kids screaming for her to sign their posters and Danica ignored them. Danica had handlers that push away everyone. Danica was not fan friendly. Hailie talks to everyone and remembers returning fans. Hailie is a huge night and day from Danica, and Hailie is a better driver, even at this point.
@@jaimefish173 Thank you for sharing. At the time, I was wishing Danica the best, but in hindsight, I think she was nothing more than a media creation. Hailie is the real deal.
I'm not suprised at all Hailie ran a great race... Trucks you're just running full throttle the whole time, and your performance fully depends on equipment. Whereas in Xfinity there's more opportunity for a driver to showcase their skills due to the amount of time you're off the throttle in the turns. Explains why Bubba Wallace was so good in a KBM truck, but couldn't run Top 5 in an Xfinity car
