What is the program you have on your computer display to test the controller? Also can you provide the connection you used to connect the ps2 controller to the PC? Thanks in advance. I have 2 PS2 controllers I sadly need to fix. Just replaced the power supply board and power/ eject button ribbon cable in my Fat PS2.
I used a PS2 controller to USB adapter to connect to the PC. These are available on Amazon, eBay etc. I put an Amazon link In the description. On a windows PC if you open "USB Game Controllers" and then click properties it will bring you to what I am using to test the controllers.
The seller I linked in the description has a few different types of ribbon. If the the one you need is not there, if you search the number printed on your ribbon you should be able to find it.
God, I hate PS2 pads... They're so cheaply made. None of mine work, but my 2 PS1 pads do, which is great, until you try playing one of the few PS2 games that won't let you use a PS1 pad 😣
Yeah it's a shame as the PS1 controllers are much better made. You can see with the PS2 controllers how the later revisions kept getting lower quality and cheaper to make.

Do you have a link to the first type of ribbon cable you showed? The "A" model?

Does the film also control the motion on Touchpad? Click Works but not motion
The film controls everything except Start, Select & the two Analog sticks as these are on a separate board
@@EasyConsoleFixes Thanks for the reply so I guess I try that next after changing all boards still no motion on Touchpad
There's no such thing as a touchpad on a ps2 controller man ...
