Fire in thatched roof of villa 🚒🚒🔥

A raging fire on Thursday afternoon partly destroyed a Blaricum villa. The residents were not at home when the fire broke out.
Around half past three an alarm was sounded by painters who were working at the thatched villa. Several fire fighting vehicles and a cherry picker and the reed cap teams rushed to the fire address.
The fire brigade found a raging fire but quickly managed to get it under control. The firefighters worked hard to prevent the fire from spreading. To ensure that the fire did not smolder somewhere and flared up again, a large part of the thatched roof was plucked.
