The officiers of the HMS Maze prision like the prisons of Northern Ireland aren't from that region, are from the Great Britain Island (From London, Manchester, Liverpool, Oxford, Birmingham, Sheffield, Leeds, Newcastle, Wales, Scotland...)
The British will never understand that trying to break the spirit of an Irishman is futile. Surely the past 800 years has made that obvious. We are a river flowing.
I had never heard of this movie until it happened to randomly pop up on my RUclips feed yesterday. What a great movie. I will always support those who are fighting for their freedom from tyranny and oppression.
Brilliant never knew that film was out there, they were brave men putting there lives on the line for there Ireland there people but most of all there belief in not giving in to the hands of the British rule and only for them there's peace today and no child or 20 yr old man or woman has to do or inflict that on them selves today ,,🇮🇪💚🙏 thank you for the up load ,
There several several dozen prison guards who were murdered during the conflict. Do you honestly think an army as professional as the PIRA wouldn't touch prison officers? They were a legitimate target.
@@ap24085 They were political prisoners who commited criminal acts I sympathize with the irish but murder is murder and against mans law, Gods law and any other law. Its morally wrong for ANYONE for any reason to kill another unless ur in an active battle for YOUR life or on the battlefield during war and even thats debatable. If crimes commited by IRA are excusable and considered justifiable, everyone would be commiting crimes and calling it politically correct AND getting away with it including myself
Thanks for watching. This movie has two small cuts to allow it to be visible ;) Enjoy.

To think that some of those men were hunted and captured in the 26 counties and extradited into that hell… that can never be forgotten nor forgiven
Hard luck

Don’t worry the first TEN YEARS are the hardest
1:19 "One day people will want to read about this"
Nobody knows rebellion and sacrifice like the Irish.
RED HAND LUKE from why don’t you give my head some peace,is one of the screws.
Great movie. Just shows that cops are the same despicable animals every where you go
Tragic
Teaching fairytale religions of any kind is the worst child abuse because they never get over it
Reigion is why we've moved out of the stone age!
You should post a movie about 1983 Maze Prison Escape 💚
I tried, it has heavy copyright. I'll have another look at it :)
Uploaded just for you mate :) channel page

Blanket man /hungersriker appears as a screw in the movie
Laurence McKeon
Is that Lawrence mckeown at 50:00 ? I’ve been trying to look out for him I think that might be him just not sure
GOD BLESS BOBBY SANDS AND THE MEN OF 81
It's not those who inflict the most in battle but those who indure the most the one who really wins.
Better then hunger. I'm against everything these men stood for, but it is a great movie
Then why watch the movie?
@@PaulMaher-f3j may be to know more about what one is against for.......
IRA should be ashamed for not visiting all those who tortured prisoners .... there is no excuse for even 1 torturer to not been visited....

They were a legitimate target.
They were criminals, not political prisoners. That of course does not make the abuses okay.
They WERE political prisoners. Accept history and shut your offensive mouth, you are not even 1% the man they were.

They weren't criminals. They were soldiers of the Irish Republic and political pows.
