@@LightyTheNube You have to consider also that originally at that point of the game (Hu Lao gate) your character is pretty weak because it’s one of the first stages of mousou mode..in this rom you use the max out char but when you play it first it’s not like this…you can replay it later in free mode but it’s intended to be played early..the officers in fact tells you to skip lu bu in that stage
For someone who hasn’t played many of these games. I can at least say that I knew Lu Bu was a freak but that healing in Dynasty Warriors 2 is just unnatural lmao
@@GoldenLion44 yeah same. i personally stuck with a character who had range & could 360 hit anything around em. & the closest that could do that? was Shang Xaing of the Wu side. once DW7 came around was when they added in to carry 2 weapons at once, & DW5 was where the solo Musou Double Attack came in (given as u could only use it if u had a 2nd player with ya, & it's overall function was the same as a Solo True Musou Attack cept u covered a *much wider* area & was deemed the *strongest* of it's 2 Musou Specials*
Yeah that was the frustrating thing about DW2, the auto-heal after you knock down a general would cause your blood to boil especially if they were down to there last couple of hits then they regenerate a full health bar again and you have to start all over again. My personal favourite Lu Bu fight was DW3, when your character wasn’t at a high enough level yet and he doesn’t flinch when you attack him made it all the more challenging.
My only one uncle taught me how to use the camara in this game. Turn around real fast behind you, while you block/guard immediately and go backwards/sideways. A genius way to use the camera before they setted up actual camara movement in DW6. It's saved me from Lu Bu so many times, I think I faited once out of exhaustion because of it.
I remember my older brother asked me to help fight Lu Bu when I was very young. Maybe 6 or 7 years old. He just wanted me to distract him but when Lu Bu swung and hit me twice with that big ass spear and took 90% of my health I literally started crying and running in circles around the map (no map navigation skills at the time) all the while my bro is pissed trying to catch up with me cuz Lu Bu was still chasing me lol. I’ll never forget that moment or Lu Bu’s menacing presence
Ah yes, Lu Bu. This man taught me many lessons, pain being the most important. Underrated thing he taught me upon my first encounter with him (DW4) was not mashing the X button to skip cutscenes. Accidentally got introduced to my first ever duel in the game and it was against this man. Ended exactly as anyone would expect. Since then, I never skip cutscenes in any game with the X/A button unless I'm prompted to AFTER watching the scene play a little.
I find the later DW games are easier due to all the mechanics the player has access to which allow for stuns, i-frames, critical damage and whatnot. Whereas in the early games combat is very simple, lock-on isn't really a thing, animations aren't as smooth and targeting is harder. Consequently you're forced to trade more blows head-to-head against him. Which is quite dangerous when he's the toughest enemy in the game. Great video!
Personally, I think there's no difference whether it's new or old, they're all equally easy (And I like them all), controlling and understanding can be a bit difficult for about 30 minutes to 1 hour. But then nothing else, once you know how the combat works, everything becomes really easy. Most people think the older games are harder, but it's actually because the game difficulty normal setting is still quite high, as evidenced by the damage the soldiers deal, but when you max your stats, to be honest, it's Musou (Actually, the Musou gauge heals very quickly here, just run towards a large group of soldiers and do a sweep, the Musou gauge will fill up immediately, this is how I defeated Lu Bu). Regarding Lu Bu, I said that Lu Bu in the new games is much more difficult, the Musou bar recovers very slowly except for Wan Yuanji, Lu Bu's Musou is also harder to avoid because it is a Map, Lu Bu's damage is One Hit, you really The inadvisability of chasing Lu Bu in new games. There's actually a duel function in DW6, but the only way to activate it would have to be a random event where the strongest of the officers would come to you, if you don't start randomly killing soldiers, and start blocking for the next 2 ~ 3 minutes. The moment you start to hear the bell gongs 3 times, you know you're in for some fun duels!

Lu Bu : "So you have chosen... Death..." Lighty : "Yes. Yours." DW2's Lu Bu is probably the one I would consider most annoying fight, just down to the mechanics of DW2. Your reactions to just the sheer adrenaline rush of this is so identical to my own 😂 The random screams hahaha!
LOL I get myself a little too into games but can't help it, tis a fun habit!
56:14 Hopefully the AI of Dynasty Warriors Origins Lu Bu will be like Consrot Radahn's from Elden Ring.
This is a very fun video to watch! I love it! 💕
Your fight in dw3 made me remember my first encounters in He Fei against Gan Ning. When you thought you had nearly killed him, he one shotted you with a musou.
Gan ning’s musou was so overpowered in DW3 !!
good job with the vid's image, the face of Lubu from the best Dynasty Warriors, 4th one.
This was fantastic 😂 I think you provided him a decent challenge at least
Love the idea and the challenge, good stuff!
Thank yas! Was super fun to record and edit and if I can think of anything similar to this in the future I'll be sure to do it!
Dw2 LuBu was a monster always remember staying off the side and using arrows lol
Lu Bu has always been a favorite character of mine in the DW and Warriors Orochi games
The joke me and my friends have is "hes the last cpu you want to have leveled up in the Empires games because he will use that 20K damage against you"
I have never had so much fun watching a Dynasty Warriors video. I can see myself in your playthrough. I could see 8th grade me. 😂❤❤
LOL I’m glad you enjoyed it so much! 💙
A Battle against Lu Bu of All Dynasty Warriors Hell Yeah!
Hope ya enjoyed!
Ah quality Warriors content
I appreciate about your work, and I very agree lu bu dinasty warrior 4 is the most difficult Lu bu ever 😂😂
Lu Bu getting cooked by Zhenji is crazy 🤣
Wish you used the super kick and slap tho haha 😂
Lu Bu : "So you have chosen... Death..."
Lighty : "Yes. Yours."
DW2's Lu Bu is probably the one I would consider most annoying fight, just down to the mechanics of DW2. The Limited juggling potential, unlimited healing, the lack of IFrames during Musou etc.
I also like how DW8's version of Lu Bu does the ol' "THIS IS SPARTA" to Liu Bei.
DW 2-5 XL is raw, no lube, level of grit
"Can anybody provide me with a decent challenge" Lu Bu
DW6 Goated and the poll is perfect. Zhao Yun vs Lu Bu too. damn
this brings back memories
Dynasty warriors 5 iconic LU BU
I played Dynasty Warriors PSP when i was a kid, i didn't know Lu Bu is much Stronger than i thought.
41:34 Diaochan: Dies
Game: Lu Bu's defeat has enraged Diaochan!
This is so funny, especially your duel at DW 4.
ahhh you see, you forgot to do Dynasty Warriors: Wo Long Fallen Dynasty xDDDD
Oh don’t worry I didn’t forget lol, been actually been prepping on my vacation for the hardest Lu Bu I can get in Wo Long!
@@LightyTheNube Nah Wu Long Lu Bu isnt the hardest, My Modded Dw8 empires Lu Bu is harder. arguably the hardest one
Can't wait for you to fight DW Origins Lu bu
Liked and subbed for the commentary, and I'm only on the first lu but lol.
