I have just read on fb comments saying that you have to wear masks all the time. Also that you can't smoke in public in Feurteventura. Can anyone tell me if this is correct. TIA
Hi you two..thanks for posting the nightlife ..looks very sad but better than I expected..just need the 60s bar and the Netcafe to open and then over to the Slap n tickle for a great night on the Karaoke.good to see you both again, and don't forget about our duet Sarah..hope to see you all soon..x
Thanks again girls for keeping our spirits up and keeping us up to date on what's happening. You looked as if you had a great night in scully's. I remember meeting him a few years ago up in the 70's bar and a great night was had by all. Even more determined to get over on the 15th December. Keep up the good work girls!
Good to see a few more people over there, I know some who have had to cancel trips to various parts of Spain and was looking forward to be having the sort of good time that you 2 ladies were enjoying in the video but it made me smile!.
Thanks! It's such a shame for people that can't make it out here. Hopefully we've shown it is still possible to have a good time even with the rules in place. Just need the advice from the UK to change at some point. Thanks for commenting 👍
I've retired in Thailand and wish I had looked at the canaries.been there many times and loved it.i would of loved a quality wine bar with tapas.so clean and tidy.
Were home in Scotland now quarentining, it was our first holiday to Fertaventura and your videos helped in our decision to still come. We stayed at Caleta Dorada but ate out most days or nights. It was strange anywhere being so quiet but helped everyone who was there feel safe and keep safe. Hope it continues to open more every day 🙏
I'm glad you enjoyed it Irene. Definitely quiet at the moment but was good to see some of the bars still doing a reasonable trade at night. Things can only get better!
Hi Ladies. The Step Inn was very quiet, it is usually a lot more lively than that, especially later in the evenings. The seafood dinner looked beautiful. Good to see the whites centre open again too. Well done on the entertainment Sarah 😊👍 Have a great week, and stay safe 😉
Thanks Liam, I think in August you'd usually struggle to get a table in Pieros so you can definitely see how its impacting the businesses. Hope you're good, enjoy the rest of the weekend 👍
Early 90s we went to the original fish restaurant that now is the spot where La Frasquita restaurant is now. It was then the only building that side of the bay. I believe it may be the same family that run it . They brought the fish to the table the same as you had . So nice to see it busy ! Well done Sarah at the karaoke 👍
Hi Al, it is indeed the same family. They have a long history with Caleta, there is a small statue of one of the family members opposite the Happy Centre just before you get to Ereza Mar hotel 👍
Thanks to you two for posting these vids!! We were booked for Corralejo, initially for 8th July, moved to 15th, then they cancelled our trip 😩. We ended up in Las Americas which although was a nice break, wasn’t quite Fuerteventura. Great to see the Step Inn👍 Keep up the great work!! Thank you so much for all the vids!! You two are keeping us sane😁👍
Thanks! I've never been to Las Americas so no idea how it would compare. I always assume the resorts in Gran Canaria and Tenerife would be bigger and louder? We love the more chilled vibe on Fuerteventura 😎

Glad you both had a good night. I’m very interested to have a view on la Tahona witch is up in music square. We’ve been going there for the last 5 years and we are very curious as to how the seating arrangement may be
Hopefully the new video will give you a glimpse of La Tahona. We didn’t think it looked any different to how it was before. Plenty of tables outside and not sure they were that far apart from each other to be honest. As it got busier they were putting more tables out to accommodate people drinking and listening to the live music
Let's all have our fingers crossed for the fco announcement being more positive and by the same token an easing of the masks etc in caleta. Take care both and thankyou for another lovely update. If I arrive it'll be January next year and for the month as I did this year. 😉
21st for FCO review, I’m sure Fuerteventura’s numbers of active cases will still be low. We are coming as long as there is a flight. Ryanair is favourite as I’m sure my Jet 2 flight will be cancelled as there are only 46 reserved seats at this time.....can’t see it being financially viable even if quarantine restriction is eased.
At least you've got a plan B lined up. Numbers here remain very low (12 currently) but the overall situation in Spain hasn't really changed so I'm not sure the need to self isolate will change yet. Air Bridges seem to be off the table too, although Germans have now been advised not to travel to Spain but the advice excludes the Canaries 🤷♀️
Amelia Bolger we are all over the place even within what should be a United Kingdom. There’s time for it to change and change again while we are out there. We will be there for 3 weeks. Won’t really affect me the self isolating but son is trying to get a triathlon booked before the end of the season, that’s likely to prove as difficult to commit to and would be a waste of money (and they aren’t cheap to enter) if he had to self isolate.

Hi you two...sadly thing's have taken a turn for the worse since this vlog..and now Scully tells me that masks have to be worn all the time you are in a bar and can only slide it down to have a drink..you even have to keep your mask on to sing on the Karaoke..really really poor..looks like we won't be able to get out there now till this is over or some common sense prevails..keep up the great work though..x
Hi Ian, Unfortunately some of the bar owners in Caleta have a difficult time keeping the local police onside who often interpret the rules any way they wish. I can understand some of them being cautious after being closed for so long. In our experience though the majority of bars and restaurants are allowing customers to remove masks once seated. The extended mask rules were in place across the rest of Spain before here and that was our experience in Sevilla last month too. The rules are due to be reviewed in about 10 days time so hopefully they will find some common sense otherwise experiences like that will certainly put people off.
What's your favourite night spot on the island? For the karaoke singers out there tell me what you love to sing too! 🎵🎸🎤
Thanks for this blog ladys, keep up the excellent work you are doing to keep us informed 👍
Please can we have more singing. XX 👏👏💐💐

Thanks for your quick reply..x
