So, just got the overwhelming HP mod from the kingston outpost and here are my findings: First of all the special mod doesn't increase it's HP gain if you enhance it. It will just lower the capacity, just like skill module. The HP increases with the body enhancement skill module, and you can get as much as 18k health with the build I have shown in the video minus the skill cooldown module (remove nimble fingers). Right now, I'm sitting at 18,777 health and 56883 DEF. For the conclusion, I think it's good with the annihilation set as you will get the buff more often but, it will definitely decrease your survivability especially in hardmode interception and as well as hard mode boss fights. The annihilation set has 30 seconds cooldown, and you would need to wait just to activate the firearm attack bonus again so, I think it's just optional to go with overwhelming HP. I'll be looking for better alternatives but for now, it's better to go with skill cooldown and as well as more health on the build with other modules. The extra shield does help a lot especially soloing hard mode content.
Instead of overwhelming HP, there's an ultimate descendant mod that's the same effect as your set bonus but even better and I don't believe it has a cooldown. I think it's called Walk the Tightrope or Line. Gives you a lot of firearm damage and other things while your hp is below 50%.
@@Jean-sx8msI have a build that reaches 135k def, so i guess he rolled slightly better modifiers, but here is the gist. Ajax usual trascendent module, overwhelming hp, iron will, all the modules that buff hp and def. No need for skill cooldown or skill dmg as you usually just shoot your gun. On the gun there is a module that gives you 120% more def for 10sec every 18sec, i dont remember how It's called tho. Your shields will literally never break with the amount of def you get this way, and you are almost unkillable. For weapons just run tamer or thundercage, whatever you have more upgraded, they are both fantastic for bossing and mob clearing.

The fact you said out loud and made it very clear, your main goal is to farm for hard mode devourer then you can rebuild yourself again. Extremely well done progression setup and explanation.
Just note that if you dont have an element on the gun then you have to use the blue mods to get one. If you use a purple or gold element mod they will give zero damage. If you use those higher level element mods it has to match the element on the gun or you have to install a blue conversion mod first which wastes mod capacity.
Hey dunno if it's interesting to know, but I mainly play Ajax and played a simliar build in the Beta and re-did it now on release. And if you fully upgrade Ajax with Crystallation Catalysts and Energy Activator you'll become seemingly immortal to any content you can tackle. To put it into numbers, I've got 37257 Hp and 63343 defense and because i've got still room left i threw in a Senory Dep (Mp) Mod which give you 10% Dmg negation on top, I didn't do the math on "is it worth at this point" but I feel a bit mor tanky with it. If you throw in a HP Collector you can heal massive amounts of HP in combat when there are enemies you can kill. I still got 1 slot open to throw in for what i need. All in all a really fun build and nice to see im not the only one who enjoys playing the chonky Tank and being the Lifeline of the Team. Cheers.
I don’t even want to ask how long you had to grind for that build I like my Ajax as he sits (2 level 40 and working on my third) sitting at roughly 60-80K defense and about 10K health can go lower def once I get the right mods of double health or health and defense

Ajax is a great first character to learn the game if you like being a tank that just guns everything down with BFGs. Most of his powers are defense so you have to put more work into modding weapons for better DPS. This vid is not even full power.
Following your build right now, trying to build my Ajax around it but got stuck on Dead Bride Hard and can't get past it. How did you manage to get past her? Fully upgraded Tamer?
Exactly the same here got kyle leveled him to 40 a mained him through campaign got stuck on Pyro. Switched to Ajax and haven't looked back he's sooooo good
I have invested 1 activator and a catalyst on this build. You can check out the updated version here: ruclips.net/video/YUITjAzcgVs/видео.html build is at 7:40. I also added what mods to use if you want to push it further, but it's reserved for the ultimate version of ajax as it would be a waste maxing the vanilla variant imo. The final build for ajax can get you until the molten fortress hard mode void intercept, and all the content in the open world.
If you want good MP return find a way to get MP Collector into your builds. At maximum enhancement (lvl5) it costs 11 capacity and gets you 12.2% mp back per kill (17%chance to trigger with no cool-down on trigger effect). Work wonders on all content, even boss fights with add clearing. Personal experience it feels much better than 17% chance.
I think you said the primary you're using is the Tamer... do you have any recommendations for the mod layout and weapon stats? Or is it simply a matter of trying to get mods to maximize DPS? Thank you for your time!
Tank build and with energy activator!!! Well done ! I have Ajax it my starting descendant! Can you please make more descendants builds with no energy activators...we need those for the ultimate version!
Fyi Battle of Stamina descendant module gives skill duration and in general skill duration sadly doesn't increase the time of Ajax's wall and sphere. I personally went with Stim Accelerant which reduces Max Mp as a side effect (but gives WAY more HP) which will be better if you're running body enhancement. Just make sure you wear a sensor component that has a Max Mp roll on it
I would also recommend getting a Material Phase reactor with additional damage to colossus roll on it as it works on the reflect dmg which is pretty busted imo
ARe you not using the purple level modules bc you dont have them or bc the basic blue ones are better? I have a lot of purple ones that combine hp and def etc but usuallylower values bc I assumed they were better but you're using just base blue ones?

Have 80k defense and 19k hp on my Ajax. Didn't build for barrier or bubble but into increasing power and range of leap and expulsion. Added in a little cooldown reduction, and i can basically keep barrier up nonstop, only cast bubble when enhanced for the fire rate increase. My build required 5 catalysts, but it has taken me through all hard difficulty colossus and the hard mode dungeon bosses barely tickle me. Have more i would like to do to it but I'm ready to move onto a new descendant. If i remember later tonight when I'm able to log on, I'll reply with my actual installed mods just in case anyone is curious or looking for ideas.

Then autoimmunity at rank 3 to fill in the remaining slots. For external components I put on enough def to get me to the 80k, and then the rest into hp. I don't use any elemental defensive mods. Only switch components around for a gold elemental resist. Only transcendent mods that seemed interesting for my build were void charge and void explosion. Read many posts on reddit about void charge being bugged and didn't have the luck to find void explosion till I was far into my build. Main weapon is the tamer using the common tamer build going around everywhere.
I’m at 2/4 parts for most ultimate characters not really going for a particular one but will probably be either Gley or Ajax for bossing that’s for sure Also if your playing the game at half health using those builds I recommended the descendant mod walk the tightrope it pairs well with annihilation set
Investing into shields feels redundant without the Overwhelming HP module at least. Unlike Warframe Shield Recharges at a percent value these shields seem to recharge at a flat numeric value meaning with 9K Shields the recharge is SLOW!!!!!!
Defense does affect shield also in this game based from experience. It does help especially when I'm just face tanking any boss with the tamer. That high shield value does provide a bit of protection to deal good dps for a couple of seconds but like I have said, overwhelming HP is an option and somehow, I think it would be better if we can go up to 25k which I think is achievable. I will be updated more of this ajax build.

Being a hardcore Warframer I follow you for your WF videos and builds, which are always great, easily to follow, and informative. But being at end game there I'm starting looking for other ways to fill my gaming time. Given how much I enjoy the looter-shooter genre I've been watching this since release and am going to give it a go. I don't understand most of what's going on here (yet), but being primarily a solo player this looks like a chill solo build which is right up my alley. Keep up the great work!
I doubt anyone will see this but if you started with lepic, he's pretty broken if you stack hp and kill mobs, and if you die you dont die for 5 seconds and come back with 50% hp, its pretty nuts I just face tank the boss and farm mobs for hp drops
I've had the grapple bug on Colossi before a couple times and I've confirmed what causes it, nothing to do with mid-air grapple If two Descendants grapple a Colossi at the same time, but are different distances from the Colossi, whoever gets there first gets to do the thing and then the other person is just left like that until the Colossi happens to make them collide with a piece of the environment, no other way to fix it
Does getting that final upgrade in body enhancement do it? I need to upgrade mine one more. But I'm at a little less then 2k shiels... will that give the 7k boost?
Interesting I don’t know from the only one I notice this or if it’s intentional, but there’s a reload bug with all hand cannon that if you hold ads while reloading it cut the last 1/3 of the bar
Honestly at least for me I think the grapple mods are better since at least I barely/never melee you can also see big difference with any of the grapple mods
I've been farming the Devourer on hard for the whole day, not a single drop of "Body Enhancement" is this a bug? Have anyone else been lucky? I got modules for Kyle, Lepic, Viessa, but never for Ajax. Any other places to get that module from?
I really don't understand how you have so much stats I literally have the same mods as you except the transcendent and I'm barely hitting 14k health/defence. Do the components really make that much of a difference
Wouldn’t recommend doing anything but this to ajax at least until things change an alternative and fun build for general gameplay uses void charge but that mod is still in need of some tweaks 80k def on ultimate ajax and ~15 health i think, shields are pointless but the body enhancement augment gives you some anyways if you care, dunno if shields are affected by defense i would hope so for the sake of a certain mod but yea in the end this seems to be the best way to play ajax currently thank god the barrier augments are late late game
This build lets me chill with ajax while doing all content in the game. I will update it more but will do it on the ultimate version of the descendant.

I trted adding overwhelming hp into my mods but it did nothing. When i put it on all i saw was my shield go to 1 but my hp didnt increase at all. I even tryed with it being the only equiped mod and with it and a hp mod but no change. Am i not understanding what it does?
Shield module not work well, because shield recover rate still the same (as video, you cant restore all of those shield). Just use external have shield recover in combat
@thegrindshack no problem, also 1 more thing, 1 of ajaxs modules are currently bugged it's the matrix recomputation one. With the mod the enhanced version of ajaxs expulsion is supposed to provide extra defense and shields. However what it's doing right now is it makes you invincible for the duration of the buff and then apply the damage after the buff ends, it's basically delayed damage?
My Thunder Cage is at 500k dps, is that weapon considered good? I just upgraded it a lot because it felt like the bedt weapon, now i see everyone using tamer :/ did i waste my materials?
Thunder is great, the best weapon for mob clearing and movement. With Tamer you can get 600k, which is very good for bosses, but slow movement, good for Tanks, bad for Bunnys. With a 500k Thunder you can also kill any boss.
Both weapons work well as top weapons. Thundercage has better crit stats but shorter range, while Tamer has awful crit stats but longer range. Thundercage, you can move fast while Tamer you move slow.
I have the survivability down. I just need the dps on my tamer. Ajax is going to be my guy for however long I play this game. His enhanced abilities are a bit lackluster, which makes body enhancement such a strong pick. Leap to generate 50% of shields? No, thank you. Same for his 3 a bit larger radius, meh.
I'll make a video on it tomorrow. It would be a combo of HP and DEF but you don't want to overfarm though as there are components that don't have sub stat for def or hp. I'll make the info clear tomorrow. Just enjoying the game right now and not creating any content. Sorry.
I use the tamer but there are other options like the eternal willpower which has better crit but be warned of the recoil. There's also the obvious thunder cage.

pyro even in hard mode is super easy with ajax because of his 1st and 4th ability.

Just like in Warframe Frost is my favorite character. Ajax is my favorite character in the first descendants
Being a hardcore Warframer I follow you for your WF videos and builds, which are always great, easily to follow, and informative. But being at end game there I'm starting looking for other ways to fill my gaming time. Given how much I enjoy the looter-shooter genre I've been watching this since release and am going to give it a go. I don't understand most of what's going on here (yet), but being primarily a solo player this looks like a chill solo build which is right up my alley.

I doubt anyone will see this but if you started with lepic, he's pretty broken if you stack hp and kill mobs, and if you die you dont die for 5 seconds and come back with 50% hp, its pretty nuts I just face tank the boss and farm mobs for hp drops
Can you get some of the external components from regular devourer?
did you have the annihilation set before you got the body enhancement mod or before you beat the devouer....thanks..
There will be 2 annihilation components and a chance to drop a skill module after defeating hard mode devourer.

Very hard indeed.
I've had the grapple bug on Colossi before a couple times and I've confirmed what causes it, nothing to do with mid-air grapple
If two Descendants grapple a Colossi at the same time, but are different distances from the Colossi, whoever gets there first gets to do the thing and then the other person is just left like that until the Colossi happens to make them collide with a piece of the environment, no other way to fix it
I don't understand how you have 9k shields. I had all the same mods on as you and my shielswere no where near. Please explain.
Does getting that final upgrade in body enhancement do it? I need to upgrade mine one more. But I'm at a little less then 2k shiels... will that give the 7k boost?

Interesting I don’t know from the only one I notice this or if it’s intentional, but there’s a reload bug with all hand cannon that if you hold ads while reloading it cut the last 1/3 of the bar

Why do you prefer mid air grapple mod? I would think you wouldn’t be able to grapple over those lasers in the infiltrations.
Honestly at least for me I think the grapple mods are better since at least I barely/never melee you can also see big difference with any of the grapple mods
You def can grapple over the lasers it’s actually easier
You want range because it makes your sheilds HUGGGGEEE!

I've been farming the Devourer on hard for the whole day, not a single drop of "Body Enhancement" is this a bug? Have anyone else been lucky? I got modules for Kyle, Lepic, Viessa, but never for Ajax. Any other places to get that module from?
No just unlucky lol trust I managed to get it after a straight 2.5 hours farming him right at the point giving up

Finally I’ve been waiting for someone to do a build that wasn’t just Bunny or Freyna. Ajax, Kyle, and Viessa are probably my three favorite to use.

Just pointing this out that you can hit 50k+ shield/hp with 65k defense with two catalysts
I really don't understand how you have so much stats I literally have the same mods as you except the transcendent and I'm barely hitting 14k health/defence. Do the components really make that much of a difference
Yes it does. The gold def and hp in the components makes a huge difference.

How did you farm devour ? For the mod cuz i cant kill him i dont have enough damage for his healing factor mode

Just with ajax and tamer. You can get atleast 300k dps on tamer before devourer hard mode with the energy activator you get from the campaign.
Wouldn’t recommend doing anything but this to ajax at least until things change an alternative and fun build for general gameplay uses void charge but that mod is still in need of some tweaks
80k def on ultimate ajax and ~15 health i think, shields are pointless but the body enhancement augment gives you some anyways if you care, dunno if shields are affected by defense i would hope so for the sake of a certain mod but yea in the end this seems to be the best way to play ajax currently thank god the barrier augments are late late game
This build lets me chill with ajax while doing all content in the game. I will update it more but will do it on the ultimate version of the descendant.

I trted adding overwhelming hp into my mods but it did nothing. When i put it on all i saw was my shield go to 1 but my hp didnt increase at all. I even tryed with it being the only equiped mod and with it and a hp mod but no change. Am i not understanding what it does?

If you put crystallization on it (sub module), your capacity will increase.
Shield module not work well, because shield recover rate still the same (as video, you cant restore all of those shield). Just use external have shield recover in combat

Probably the external components I have HP and def roll on the stats.

@thegrindshack no problem, also 1 more thing, 1 of ajaxs modules are currently bugged it's the matrix recomputation one. With the mod the enhanced version of ajaxs expulsion is supposed to provide extra defense and shields. However what it's doing right now is it makes you invincible for the duration of the buff and then apply the damage after the buff ends, it's basically delayed damage?

My Thunder Cage is at 500k dps, is that weapon considered good? I just upgraded it a lot because it felt like the bedt weapon, now i see everyone using tamer :/ did i waste my materials?
Thunder is great, the best weapon for mob clearing and movement. With Tamer you can get 600k, which is very good for bosses, but slow movement, good for Tanks, bad for Bunnys. With a 500k Thunder you can also kill any boss.

Both weapons work well as top weapons. Thundercage has better crit stats but shorter range, while Tamer has awful crit stats but longer range. Thundercage, you can move fast while Tamer you move slow.
I have the survivability down. I just need the dps on my tamer. Ajax is going to be my guy for however long I play this game. His enhanced abilities are a bit lackluster, which makes body enhancement such a strong pick. Leap to generate 50% of shields? No, thank you. Same for his 3 a bit larger radius, meh.
So for componants do you go for HP or DEF?
I'll make a video on it tomorrow. It would be a combo of HP and DEF but you don't want to overfarm though as there are components that don't have sub stat for def or hp. I'll make the info clear tomorrow. Just enjoying the game right now and not creating any content. Sorry.

I use the tamer but there are other options like the eternal willpower which has better crit but be warned of the recoil. There's also the obvious thunder cage.
I like using the Rascal V-51 I’ve built fully into it and it tears stuff up just like the tamer.
