in another video you use aquaphalt to fill big cracks - is that still a good method and also do you then just smooth off the top with a rubber asphalt filler???
no never use a hot or cold asphalt crack filler on tennis courts. those are an oil based product and will cause the tennis court paint to turn brown if ever painted over the top. Aquaphalt is ok because you covering it with binger and in our case the riteway membrane
@@thesealerguys i have asphalt tennis courts though and they are painted with acrylic surface
@@MEATnPOTATO send me pictures or a video to us on dm Facebook or Instagram ill try to help u best I can
@@thesealerguys it is exactly the same type of crack shown in yoru aquaphalt crack filling video. on an asphalt court like the one you show. but the video ends before you complete the crack or paint the court. can you give info on that please. in australia they do not use membrane regularly as they just open back up under the membrane and develop a soft spot with no way to repair that opening without cutting the membrane
Your not using the proper type of material if your having issues with the quality. The best thing u can do of ur not going to use membrane is use aquaphalt and then the binder....when binder sets use a oscillating sander to blend crack
Would the steps You describe work for tennis courts laid out on asphalt,
Yes
What kind of acrylic crack binder are you using?
I use product made by sportmaster or dynaflex comes in 5 gallon Pail if you txt me I can send u contact to buy
@@thesealerguys could you send this information to me as well?
Made by sportmaster.
What does it look like 3 years later?
It looks like a normal tennis court because it has a membrane system over it If you try to use this without a membrane system you can expect the cracks to come back on the first cold night
@@thesealerguys Thanks. So which are exactly the products you mix together
@@garyhoward4064 it's in the video I suggest you're watching again
@@thesealerguys i watched it twice.. What is the binder? I am not familiar with acrylic binder. I want to repair the cracks on a tennis court and am about to go out purchase the products: - Portland cement, - Sand, - and acrylic binder. I’m in Europe and when I’ll say acrylic binder, the paint « expert » will probably look at me with round eyes ?! I understand the binder is critical because it prevents the cracks from coming back. (It’s the 3rd time I redo the court..)
@@garyhoward4064 it's something you can get at home Depot in the cement aisle or if you have a seal master around you they are pavement maintenance supply company nationwide that you can buy by the 5 gallon bucket also pick up a v squeegee from them
