Lecture Notes:
1) Indefinite article: un/una
Un for masculine, Una for Feminine
2) Use Un' when a feminine word starts with a vowel.
3) Strong Sounds (for masculine):
STR, Z, GN, X, PSI, etc
Use Uno instead of Un in these cases.
4) GN = ni
X = CS
Z = DS
BUONA FORTUNA
Grazie Aditya! 😁

You're an amazing teacher.
Grazie Christiane, our team is happy to help you reaching your goals ❤
I agree. 100%
I disagree
@@leederbyshire6158HEY!?
You're a fantastic teacher. I've been using Duolingo (which is also great) but obviously doesn't go in depth on the "why" certain things are said certain ways. Came here trying to find out how to tell if a noun is masculine or feminine and came away learning so much more. I'm 42 years old and my father was born in Italy, yet I've never learned to speak Italian. I'm hoping to surprise him once I've learned enough to somewhat carry a conversation. Only wish I didn't wait so long!
I'm so happy about this series. It's so motivating! I really feel like I learnt more in the last days than in the last year!
We are so glad, thank you 🤗
I did not find a good teacher to learn Italian. I was lucky to meet you. You explain very clearly. I come to your online class willingly. Thank you very much.god bless you sir
🙏 we love to hear that! thank you for being here ❤️
Grazie mille Manu, I have just started learning Italian. I wanted to learn a new language, i am only 13, and I thought it would be pretty cool to learn a language which no one else in my class knows. I have only started this course yesterday, but today i can already see so many things which I know about italian. This course is really easy and making it fun to learn Italian easily. I hope you are not stopping to teach Italian and things about it any time soon. Since I am not allowed to spend any money or anything here, I am not able to join your website, but thx a lot for this free of cost video.
❤️ we appreciate your support and your commitment! Grazie 🥰
Did you learn much in thr year from the video???
@@Parkerlee1000 I left in between due to my IGCSE and GCE exams. I do plan to continue it after they finish tho. I did learn a lot already tho. I can now communicate with an italian with some hurdles.
The biggest problem I faced tho, is that it requires a lot of passive listening, meaning using mobile which i m only allowed for a limited time, less than an hour a day.
the vowel died and now there is a tear - great!
A less dramatic one would be that the apostrophe stands above any missing vowel or consonant-vowel combo. Would have>would've. La acqua> L'acqua. Contractions.
That made me laugh ❤
Thank you for linking examples back to English. It really helps understand the nuance to words and phrases.
Grazie Danaeus ☺️ we are glad you are enjoying our teaching methods 🥰
I’m doing your Intermediate Level 1 yet I am finding these beginner videos useful. Things I had forgotten about.
Excellent Isabella, we are happy to hear this, keep it up 💯
Manu, I 16 yrs old when I met my husband who was an Italian, I learnt the Italian language from the family and friends but never understood it properly, but after watching your tutorials I now understand it properly it was the gender part that always confused me. Your tutorials are the best that I have ever listen to, ou make it so easy thank you very much for sharing your knowledge and time
Ciao Lesley! Thank you for your support, we are glad you are enjoying our videos! 💪🥰
You are a gifted teacher. I wish I could study with you in person!
Same
I love this series! You are a great teacher and I’ve never been so consistent to a language program before without forcing myself lol. Thank you Manu!
This is a great compliment! Thank you so much! Keep going! 😍
I love this series. You are a wonderful teacher. ❤️
Thank you for your nice words, Mary Anne! You are a wonderful student 🥰
Everything you have explained is so clear and make sense. It is like a logical formula to be applied in the right situation. Grazie mille, Manu.
We are glad it was helpful! Grazie mille for being here with us! 😍
This is so messed up. I'm learning English and Italian at the same time. I'm an Australian, but I went to school to socialise and didn't take notice of how English works. Here, I am actually learning how English works, too.
Hahaha! Your comment made me laugh! "This is so messed up!" LOL! We say that a lot in English. I will say, you are on point! 😂😂😂
I kinda have a 2 in 1 cuz I'm Egyptian so I am improving my English lestining and understanding while learning italian although italian is similar to Arabic a Lil bit (some words are literally the same)😂
@@Moaz_son_farezYeah thanks to French and Latin spreading around the world I can recognise many Italian words from knowing English and Russian
I did not know that learning a new language can be that nice.
Thank you so much for this series!
These courses are great, and I feel confident that I will be able to learn enough Italian for my next trip to Italy. You structure your courses in logical steps, the same way a child would learn their native tongue when attending school. It just makes sense and explains the "why", which is the best way for me to learn, rather than just throwing random sentences at me and expecting me to memorize them all. Grazie!
Thank you so much for your feedback, it means a lot to us! 🥰
Manu, thank you so much for this excellent explanation! I wish my Beginning Italian professor at school had taught us this. It would have been SO much easier to remember which words require uno, lo, and gli. I must have written the rules down ten times before it finally started to sink in. You’re a great teacher!
Ciao Dana, thank you so much for your kind words. 🤗 We are passionate about languages and love to help people achieve their goals! Welcome on board 😁
Your teaching is really very helpful to learn Italian from roots. Grazie mille manu.
Thank you, Veera! We are happy to have you on board🥰
Bravo 🤗 I travel all over and go back and forth amongst languages. I’ve spent so much time in Italy and have studied but never stuck with a program. You’re it! Fabulous! Thank you!
You may have been asking where this sea is previously but I wasn’t able to respond for some reason. It’s in Türkiye.
Wonderful! 🥰 We are glad to hear you enjoy our program!
Salve! I have been studying casually for nearly a year and decided to look at this. Honestly you made me already realise so many fundamentals I did not know. Thank you and look forward to finishing and rewatching plenty of these episodes!
Grazie mille, Manu! Great lesson from the greatest Italian teacher and team. I can’t wait to learn more
Grazie Mario! We love to read such comments 🌟 Enjoy the course ❤
just started learning italian and i gotto say you're way more better than my italian101 teacher. love.
This channel is a great find! I've already learned a great deal in just a few short videos. I will watch all 30 and probably go to the website and take more in depth classes! Grazie!
Hi Annette, grazie (=thank you) so much for your kind words, we are glad you are loving the videos! ♥️
@@italymadeeasy oh my gosh how embarrassing I misspelled thank you! Boy as you can see, I really need these lessons!!! Thank you, grazie!
You explain everything so well. The best teacher ✨️👌
I appreciate the written explanation because it is crucial for reading also and that helps me learn thank you
You are an excellent teacher. I lived in Sicily and now want to learn how to read, spell, and talk in Italian. I am only up to Lesson 6 and hope to continue. I have learned more by watching your video(s) than I have learned in the Italian course that I have taken in the past. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much for being here, Dawn! We appreciate your commitment 🙏❤️
Best teacher ever 😊
I don't want to give too much away. But this particular part of Manu's lessons gave me more insight into Italian documents I was already reading. A common phrase in those documents is "Uffiziale/Ufficiale dello Stato Civile" which basically translates to what we would call "Civil Registrar." Often associated with the "Sindaco" (Mayor) of the town. And Manu made me realize why it is "delLO STato" because of that word "Stato" which he explains here and I was reading those documents and taking the translation for granted and not realizing it. So now when I read those documents all of the little things I am learning I recognize even with documents I had already transcribed and translated.
Grazie! We are glad to help! 😁
I have been using the Pimsleur method for years and kept getting stuck in the later, more difficult lessons, and gave up. I wish I had found this first! The listen and repeat method could only get me so far. It doesn't teach you language rules, how to identify masculine vs feminine words, articles, or conjugating verbs. You just have to pick up on it all along the way. I'm finding that learning the grammar in English and actually understanding why I need to say things a certain way, is invaluable. I will put my Italian to the test in a month, and I'm so happy I found these lessons first! Fantastico!
Amo questi veloce nuovo serie. Ho ancora bisogno di fare il tuo corso per (beginners).
A simple tip for everyone. When you don't know or can't remember the Italian word when writing just put the English word in brackets. Also don't stress about the Noun and adjective sequence to much just put the word down when beginning.
Grazie Damien, we are happy to have you here with us, and thanks for sharing your tips with all of us 🤗
Studio italiano da 4 anni ma ho imparato tanto già con questa serie! Grazie! Fantastico!
Meraviglioso Marie-Eve , noi del team ti diamo il benvenuto!
Dear sir, your teaching style is fruitful and you explain so clear I like it Thank you so much sir 💕
Love your attitude! You are simply an amazing teacher!
🤗 thank you so much, Shimali!
This is amazing Italian lesson!!!!! I love it!
I have a month to learn Italian becuase I'll be studying Naples soon and the whole course is in Italian, thank you Emmanuel, wish me luck
That's amazing! Best of luck on this beautiful journey!! 🥰💪
Excellent. Thank you.
thank you for your support, Marisa 🤩
Grazie mille! This was really helpful. I have an Italian teacher but she gets a little stuck with the linguistics sometimes. I'm a bit of a natural linguist so this vid really helped with that aspect. Italian masculine and feminine stuff drives me up the wall so having this explained simply and quickly has helped a lot! New sub :)
Grazie mille! And welcome to our channel! 🥰🇮🇹
This was a great lesson! Really enjoy learning this way and you are an excellent teacher.
Thanks! We really appreciate your feedback ❤️

Manu, how come ‘Artista’ does not become ‘Artisto’ for the masculine but it changed for ‘Psicologo’?
He said it needs to end with -ista to be the same for masculine and feminine words
Thank you . I’m Greek American speak Greek and English and I would like to thank you for amazing lessons . Amazing teacher ❤
Grazie (thank you) for following us and for your support! 💪🥰
this is such a good lesson manu. reading and listening to italian i never understood why some words were uno and some were just un. thanks for explaining this so clearly
Thank YOU for being here with us! Enjoy the course 🌟
thank you for explaining the "why" of things. It makes it so much easier to remember
Loving these lessons so far...I have been using Babel and I wish I had found you first grazie mille
Thank you teacher Manu. 😊 I love this series ❤
thank you, Cece! we are glad these videos are helping you learn!
as a polish person i love how easy those sounds like gn or z in zaino come to me. In polish we have the letter ń = gn and dz = z so it's the one thing that is easier for us
FANTASTIC EXPLANATIONS FROM A GIFTED TEACHER
Nice one to be able to differentiate between these articles and when to use which
Grazie mille Manu...!!! As a greek isn't so difficult for me to pronounce right most of the words in italian but for everything else you are a perfect teacher i'll say!!!!
Thank you so much for your work, this course is extremely helpful and entertaining !
Ciao Timea, we are happy to hear that! Enjoy 💯🤓

🙏 that's why we are here! thank you for your comment, Zuri 🤗
What a great way to teach a language!
You are the best teacher ❤
Grazie! Thanks for learning Italian with us!
Manu stole my lifelong-learner heart when he said "you gotta know why something is happening so you never question it again." I can't even express how much that means to my brain lol, so many "educators" that don't give you the why and you're stuck in doubt because you don't REALLY understand when what they've just taught you applies because you don't even know why it implies in the scenario in which you learned it, so frustrating
Great teaching ❤
Saving money for your course now because I learn so much from you
🥰🥰
Wow... I speak 3 languages, and oh wow, i can't describe, it is first time i see something like that, italian is great. Grazie.
🙏
Thank you. Graziemille

Grazie a te! Enojy the course ❤
Super helpful and great content!
Grazie! We are so glad you think so 🤗
Thank you thank you thank you thank you 🙏🏻❤ this series is the new background sound of my life
Thank you for your nice feedback 🥰 we are happy to have you on board!
I love how you explain where the uno-article comes from. I always just memorized the consonants like gn, ps... but I never knew the reason why it had to be "uno" specifically.
🙏 grazie for your feedback, Laure! we are glad this video clarified your doubts! 🤩
You're a wonderful teacher
I am learning and I am happy 😊
We are so happy to read this, Nadia! Have a wonderful time learning Italian 😍
Very good lesson! But writing is also important. Not only speaking is a goal.
Day 6. Going strong! The idea of passive immersion helps very much! Thank you Manu.
🤗 thank you for sticking with the course so far! looking forward to seeing you on day 30! 😎
How r u in italiano rn??
I am an Turkısh guy who knows eng. And since Some parts of Italian match with Turkısh and some parts matching with English. Lıfe becomes so easy. bc way we pronounce our Language is just like Italian but order of worlds dosent match. Thank you for perfecto teaching to Signore
You are an amazing teacher as well ❤️❤️😘😘love from 🇧🇩
🤗 thank you so much!
This is an amazing resource. Such a fantastic teacher
Thank you, Tom!
Sei un insegnante ottimo
Grazie dal team di Italy Made Easy ❤
Excellent teaching! Thank you so much
Thank you😍
Informative lesson! You speak English well
Oh, thank you so much, Steve, for your kind comment!😍
Ciao a tutti. Iv been learning Italian from dictionary for a yr & never used un/una/uno when making a sentence & found my Italian father still understands me but this helps.
Grazie mille, Camo! We are happy to read that this helps. A presto! 🤩
A vs An in English is very much like ce vs cet (not cette) in French. It's basically only there to create the liason for better fluidity when speaking. So that way an apple sounds much better than a apple
I loooove your lessons!! I'm here calling my cats "un gato nero with occhi verde"...🤣🤣😍 my husband looks at me like i'm crazy 😁
Love that! Even talking in Italian with your cats could be an amazing exercise in our opinion eheh 😊
Thank you very much! Melle Grazie!! You are helping me a lot in my Italian class. 😀
we are glad to hear that, Ramil!

I’m learning Russian and this is the kind of sound russians make regularly. The standard hi is Здравствуйте, pronounced something like zdravctvuyitye. You can see large groups of consonants which make it so hard to say!
There are indeed a lot of consonants! 🤪
This is brilliant! Thanks so much for explaining why the indefinite article has exceptions! It's been driving me nuts trying to understand why! THANKS MANU!!
you are welcome, Sarah! 🤩 we are glad our video helped you learn!
Im still trying to learrn, and find it really interesting.
Grazie Manu
Grazie Manu! Do you know why in italiano the imperative of the verbo scusare is Scusa for tu and Scusi for Lei, but for parlare it is Parli for tu and Parla for Lei? Why the change in ending for one verb but the opposite for the other?
Ciao Jason, our team will create a list with all of your questions and Manu will answer them in a video very soon 🤗
I am trying to learn English and Italian at the same time by your videos 😅 thanks!
Thank you for being here!
Best teacher
Bravo - now to review. Grazie
Buon studio/Study well 😁
