Damn great comparison:) But i have to ask you which one is your personal favourite? I asked a few people about this and they all said their fav is vanilla rtx so im thinking about downloading it but i would like to hear ur opinion tho and maybe a reasoning behind it if thats fair to ask.
I've used Vanilla RTX quite a lot, it's one of my favourites. But I mostly use a customised version of John Smith RTX. I've gone into the files in Photoshop and changed values for reflections, light emissions, different glass etc to my personal taste. You can see what I use on my later Minecraft livestream vids. 👍

Yeah it's set to 24. I do get fps drops if up high @4k. I usually drop the resolution/render distance when streaming/encoding at the same time to keep from dropping frames. I waited as long as I could and just went for it when I saw one available. Waaay too expensive but I don't think the situation is going to improve any time soon. If you can cover the cost outright you could sell your 2070S for probably half of what a 3080 would cost, 2nd hand market is crazy too! 👍
You can use any of the rtx packs really with the 3060. We have another pc in the house with a 3060 in it. But to get decent framerates you will need to run it at 1080p and turn vsync off.

But vanilla rtx is just the normal minecraft textures with different lighting/reflections. So you will not see any difference to normal minecraft without a ray tracing graphics card.
It's kinda dumb how they implemented this Ray Tracing feature. Why do we need a resource pack? Why not just turn it on/off whenever you want it as long as you have an RTX PC? 🙄
RTX resource packs have extra files in them for the ray tracing to work. As far as I'm aware there is no official ray tracing pack for the game. So I'd guess it's coz they don't want to do the extra work to implement it. It's like on the new consoles, there is no technical reason why ray tracing isn't enabled. It just isn't switched on.
