Sting Stopper has some really good gloves. I have a pair as does the wife. There are some gloves I get off of Amazon that are 12 mil and longer I never get stung. I have the same exact jacket. Same color. Love it. When pulling honey I wear my sting stopper gloves. They aren't long but long enough to cover the area you're concerned with. Hope this helps. I'll attach the gloves I use. They are dark blue.

Ha Enjoyed your video I use the fume board the blower and the brush this year. I hope u get a lot of honey. I do it my self as well. have a blessed week
Thanks I like your videos. I pulled my frames the same way I use my little wagon the blower and cover them up as I go along. Commenting on your jacket, I don’t like the cuffs with the Velko because you got stung because that bee got stuck in there. I appreciate your videos.
The flow has stopped here west of Savannah as well. Had a hive robbed out this morning. I managed to save some of the frames to use as feed for splits and the rest I set out a ways from the bee yard and let the Bees have at it. Had to wait a couple of hours for them to calm down and go home before I started any Inspections and splits. The air was full of Bees looking for Honey treasure. One thing I did notice today Inspecting some of my larger colonies, Not finding any Drone Brood. Found some colonies with a limited amount of Drones. I pulled some cells today for splits but not sure if there will be any mating success. Was thinking about doing another round of grafting but I think I will wait. wondering if the Bees know something that we don't. I had frames full of worker brood of all stages and the stores looked good. Last year August was so hot and dry here that most of my queens shut down egg laying. I will be pulling my second round of honey suppers next weekend, I will just have to watch out for any robbing activity. Also another round of OAV. With no drone Brood that should help with the control the mite population. I have the same sting stopper Jacket as well. so far I like it, but I don't wear it every time. My normal attire is a denim shirt and the straw cowboy hat veil. Unless the bees tell me other wise. Never had a sting problem at the cuff but if I have to go to the jacket the bee gloves go on as well. Note: Bee Gloves with mesh wrist does not stop a sting. The only Issue I have with the Sting stopper is poor workmanship where the zipper is sewn to the jacket. Thread pulling loose left a entry under my chin resulted in a veil full of very hot bees. I did not like the fencing veil so I ordered the wide bream hat. Not a fan of the screen mess sting stopper uses. There is a lot of glare from the sun at times and it makes it very difficult to see.
Maybe pull the gloves over the jacket cuffs? Or is it the jacket color? Maybe the white jacket option would be the better option or might still have the bees stinging through as well. Our flow has definitely slowed down here in my area of Pennsylvania... lots of partially capped frames sitting on the hives for over two weeks with little if any change.
I haven't even gotten my package installed back in April to finish drawing the comb in the brood box, and my colony from last year hasn't even finished its first super yet. Not having a good year so far in my Apiary here on NWFL. :(
Question, just out of curiosity, the dead hive has beetles in it and you laid it out for other bees to rob. Could those small hive beetles transfer onto the bees robbing and then into their hive? Infecting the robbing bees hives with small hive beetles?
Hey, Chuck. Thanks for the video! Where do you buy your bottles from? I have used Amazon in the past, but I was looking to purchase in bulk this year. Thanks again for all the info. It's been super helpful to those in this area.
I use regular mouth mason jars for my honey, and I usually purchase them on Amazon, Walmart, or sometimes Target. Where ever I can get the best prices.
@@chuckshoneybees You need puppy dogs ;) My yards are all in the suburbs, the Bees can't sting anyone or their gone. 5 years so far so good. I do keep them from 4-6 hives max. Think that helps with getting the girls "all worked up". I've been using the EZ cages. I'm making some modifications. Drilling 1/8" hole on the sides for water, and reducing the racks to 2 side by side for easy watering. Putting a checkerboard raised (1/8" maybe)on the bottom I think would help keep the water longer and away from it and getting stuck (crystal honey does run) but I don't 3D print. I've been banking them for up to 2 weeks, seems the consensus is that's the limit. I do sell queens (my thing starting this year). Everyone loves them and cages. Easy mark on the virgin, cull what needs (still haven't had to do that). Better product. I may expand my mating nucs next year BUT seems the work doesn't translate into price. I'm getting $25 10/$200. Why do all the work for $40. Keep posting, enjoying your vids. Stay technical, it puts you ahead.
A lot of stings 😱😱
As always thanks for your educational contents.
My pleasure!
More great info - thanks Chuck!
Any time!

Old school honey removal! I used to do I that way. It can get wild though!

Nice truck!
Thanks 👍

Informative as usual. Get them coming please.
Working on it!

Sorry to hear that. Feed em hard to build wax.
@@chuckshoneybees Will do! Hopefully I can catch the second flow.
The suit looks like it was designed for you to wear long bee gloves over the thin material.
Well I'm not gonna be doing that very often.

SHB don't transfer like varroa on the bees. So no that's not how they move around. They can fly!
I dont think the dark color is drawing the bees... I work with black Nitrile Gloves with no issues.
Interesting, I had the exact opposite results with black nitrile gloves. And the Bees very frequently sting my black Apple Watch band specifically.

Great video and I was wondering what suit you have and where I can get one? I like the olive colored suits and I am trying to find a good one.
The olive jacket comes from www.foxhoundbeecompany.com/
They never try to sting through pants?
I don't seem to get too many .. sometimes they do crawl up my leg though.
I wear black tee-shirts when keeping my Bees 😇 So not the color. lols It's more the fold they get stuck in IMO.
I have stopped wearing black. I noticed they are much more likely to sting black.
