@@nowayangelo You could get a monthly rent on a beach front room in the deco district for as low as $65/mo, no services no phone, usually you got a small fridge and a hot plate, and when the ceiling collapsed or the plumbing burst, you just moved onto the next place (that was the beginning of the major deco renovations going on). In my 20s back then, so I had a LOT of fun.

Miami Beach is a beautiful place. Parts of it are an endless party, other parts are more laid back and relaxing. But to me it is most of all the beach. Twelve miles of beautiful, uninterrupted, well maintained beach with access points along the entire length of the city.

I wish I would've moved to South Florida back in 1999, my wife (before we were married) and I both loved it there. We were talked out of it by all of our Northern California friends and relatives. Too bad we didn't move, I'm 55 now and it is probably one if not my biggest life regrets. Super beautiful beaches but South Florida in particular has become super expensive and crowded, but we still love visiting Florida.

I wish I would've moved to South Florida back in 1999, my wife (before we were married) and I both loved it there. We were talked out of it by all of our Northern California friends and relatives. Too bad we didn't move, I'm 55 now and it is probably one if not my biggest life regrets. Super beautiful beaches but South Florida in particular has become super expensive and crowded, but we still love visiting Florida.
It's not too late to move. Many people are moving to Florida just after reaching retirement age. Regards
