    Engine and transmission: The original B18 engine and M40 non-overdrive transmission have been replaced with a rebuilt B20F(0.030 overbore) and M41 overdrive transmission sourced from a Volvo 1800ES. The 1800 alternator and voltage regulator were used, replacing the generator and voltage regulator as originally equipped. All other B18 ancillary items were used (distributor, carburetors, manifolds, etc.). Recent tune-up included converting the distributor to electronic ignition, new ignition coil, new distributor cap, rotor button, ignition wires, and spark plugs. Carburetors were rebuilt by Joe Curto of New York with new throttle shafts with the carburetor bodies receiving new throttle shaft bushes to eliminate vacuum leaks at the throttle shafts. The mechanical fuel pump has been replaced with a high-quality electric fuel pump and a fuel pump block off plate has been fitted to the engine block, new fuel tank, new sport exhaust from VP Auto Parts. New water pump, thermostat, belt, hoses, fresh coolant, and engine mounts. The battery is 4 years old and easily starts the engine.
    The transmission had all new seals fitted, a new Sachs clutch, release bearing, and pilot shaft bearing fitted. The flywheel was resurfaced, and the transmission mount was replaced. The clutch releases cleanly and smoothly and the overdrive works. New clutch master and slave cylinders were fitted with DOT5 silicone fluid used in the hydraulic system. Center drive shaft bearing was replaced. Differential oil was recently changed.
    Brakes: All new brakes have been fitted, including new master cylinder, power brake booster, brake hoses (stainless braided with Teflon hoses), front disks, calipers, pads, front wheel bearings, rear drums, shoes, and rear wheel cylinders. DOT5 silicone fluid was used in the hydraulic system. The car stops confidently and smoothly.
    Suspension, steering, tires: Front Suspension: New bushings were installed in the upper and lower A-arms. New sway bar end link bushings as well as sway bar isolators were fitted. New tie rods.The original steering box works well with no unusual slack observed in the steering action.
    Rear suspension: New bushings in the lower control arms, torque rods and Panhard rod. New KYB shock absorbers were fitted in all four corners. New axle limiting straps and hardware were fitted.
    New Pirelli tires on all 4 corners with less than 3k miles.
    Interior: New VP Auto dash pad, carpet kit, and floor mats. New bottom cushions in front seats were installed, seat covers are in very good condition. The original headliner is in very good condition. Door cards are good however it should be noted driver’s side door pocket is stretched but still intact. The ignition switch has been converted to push button start with an easy operating ignition switch utilized for easy starting. The odometer is accurate; however, the speedometer reads approximately 20MPH fast. Doors and trunk lock tumblers have been replaced, a single key opens the doors and trunk.
    Lighting: All exterior lighting has been converted to LED with LED friendly flasher used. New European taillight lenses. New Hella H4 “E” code headlights with LED H4 bulbs.
