@ most churches are cessationists and don’t even realize it. Baptist’s are an example. They don’t believe there are still prophets. I don’t “follow” any prophet. I listen to some and test their prophecies. Every pastor’s called to teach the full counsel of god and few do so anymore.
Sinning against a person, you take a brother to rebuke; NOT a personal sin. Personal weakness is to be resolved “personally” (1 Thess 4:6). And the apostle Paul says “no one should take advantage of a brother or sister who sins as such”. The sin you commit to others (adultery, betrayal, abuses, theft, murder, etc.) is what the law judges you from. Rightly divide truth and you will walk by God’s righteous ways; NOT religion.
There is so much false doctrine preaching it is shocking. Cracked me up and misled me when I was a baby Christian. Decades of torment from being misled by so called believers. I felt guilted for loving myself and became masochistic leading me to not properly defend myself from the enemies attacks. Ministers can do so much soul harm to their l naive listeners.Blessings ✝️
What’s a “real prophet “. Careful how you answer bc it worked differently in the Old Testament. Prophets went into an open eyed trance. The spirit came upon people but christs sacrifice changed that. The spirit now indwells us. So New Testament prophets differ from Old Testament in this manner. So, what is a “real” prophet like?
@ what’s the difference between ot prophets and nt prophets? Because there is a distinct real difference. Unless you know exactly what it is, then you are not clear on this issue. This verse also doesn’t give any clarity, it just describes the fold of ministry. Yeah, they can start off like that then lose it and move into accessing personal information of others through different sources, not by revelation any longer from the Spirit of God. Since their life, platform, influence was built on the foundation of their “gift” in the beginning not in him and who they are in him as a son when the gifting,anointing is not working all they are left with is their weak character. I tell you the truth I know more anointed people than many of the big name, title platform Prophets in the who’s who in the Christian zoo. And I tell you the truth their message is Christ, the centrality, and they don’t preach a facet of who he is as the diamond but many revelations of him!

I gave up on the prophets after the debacle back in 2020 when they all prophesied that 'Trump is going to win!!' The only one I will listen to now is Jonathan Cahn.
