Thanks for this review. Often wondered how those pads listed on Amazon would play out IRL usage, but no one ever really discusses them. I think this has to be the most critical review of the Grovemade pad I have seen (ever)! To my recollection, everyone usually raves about it but no has ever actually delved into its "durability" for the price and I definitely appreciate the contrast in review at the opposite end of the spectrum in price.
You'll find less honest opinions because content creators want the money that they get from sponsors over really providing honest content for the viewer. Basically this channel is great so make sure you're subbed :D
bought the nodal in black.. not bad. Just got my Vari electric desk which I love, and threw out my L shaped SWH desk. Ordered a desk shelf and monitor arms, coming later this week. But I had a logitech mat, and it is good, this other nodal is good but I am not sujre if I will keep it or use a different one. I was considering the grovemade based on all these reviews, but glad you mentioned what you did about it. thnx
After watching your video, I went and bought the Gallaway desk pad and I got a cheap non-branded mat instead that doesn't look like Galloway + it smell awful and very strong !
Could you do video on chair mats plz? Mine always gets divets that the chair can't move out of. And the hard glass ones are expensive. There are also acrylic ones are almost like glass but cheaper?
Maaaaan this is the exact video I was looking for. You helped me a lot since I'm a dev but also a gamer oftentimes and, by watching this video I've decided to go for the PU ones. Many thanks!!!
Some of these mats might aswell just go to Joan’s fabrics and make your own. Btw it you have rolling up edgers on a gaming mat just put an ice cube on it for a bit and it should uncurl edges
I bought the Gallaway mat once and received an aliexpress version. I thought it was a mistake so I returned the item and reorder it, only to receive yet another cheap aliexpress mouse pad. The mat smells strong and really bad, crease marks don't come off. It's obvious that they're using an old product appreciated for its good quality, to sell a different, less expensive item of very inferior quality.
Hey is there anyway we could enter to win one of the pads you rated? I recently burned / melted part of mine while soldering something back together and dropped my torch.

Glad you enjoyed the vid. Honesty always wins out! The Grovemade sure looks nice, but it has some major problems. - RG
Because they get it free. Nearly every set up i see has Grovemade. And a lot of them don't even mention price much less anything else.

This is a great series we need more of this type

This was a good helpful video, thanks.
Your audio in this video could have been better. I could hear a classic analog hum in the background.
hey thanks for the video, which pu bad is overall the best? also did they have branding on them? thanks
How come you didn’t try the orbitkey?? It’s one of the most popular, I’m really curious how that compares since it is a mix between felt and leather

Are there any other woolmats other than grovemade?
which is the best kind of desk mat to reduce vibration transfer from the keyboard to the desk ?
Good video. Thanks for sharing. I have the Knodel at work and like it. Still undecided for my home desk. Researching Orbitkey and leather options.
Could you please share the keycaps link for the keychrone white and silver.
In Malaysia, the PU pad was sold for 2-4 bucks. Also with stitching.

Very helpful, thanks
can you share the make/model of your keyboard?
Can you cut these to a certain size?

Can you guys please review the best desk footrests?
I used to use this mini ottomon. Until I lost it, now I use a shoe box haha.
Just get the LTT deskpad... The best one I've had so far... For us Europeans it is expensive, but for Americans is not that expensive....
Linus Tech Tips?
@@WolfOfJustice Yes... Great mouspad!
This guy did a whole 7min+ vid on various reasons he feels X is better. Just saying "just get Y" isn't super valuable.
@@mm345-0 He also said if you know of any good mouse pads to put them in the comments.
What's the keycaps
People out there really shoving their noses into their desk mats up close to warrant a smell test?
