Keep in mind this (for the record, I'm an American who lived in Melbourne, so I'm familiar with the NRL as well as the AFL). We just had a national Rugby Union competition start up here, called Major League Rugby, so we already have a number of sides playing Union, so for the most, Americans are completely unfamiliar with League, let alone the NRL. We have more who are familiar with the AFL up here than the NRL, so keep that in mind when talking about Rugby here. I live in Vegas, so I'll be at both matches this weekend, as this is the closest I've been to anything AFL or NRL since both the AFL and NRL Grand Finals... in 1997!
Rugby union is big in the college's.. U need to start there.. 7's rugby still haven't sold out Vegas yet. But I reckon NRL might have a better chance..
so, the tweaker host said that every local radio station is talking about rugby, and Brent Read said that 3 million people will bet on the game. Cooked
