Hey brother( we need to talk ) great content I would love your opinion on a stream I want to do on a new channel I am making .it would be a honor in working with you
Bro this is so refreshing, I love the couples interviews. Honestly it has become exhausting listening to single men and women regurgitate tropes and talking points about who's more wrong. Hell I much more prefer listening to people who actually are together trying to make it work. Thank you for changing the conversation! 👏🏾 🙌🏾
Love the transparency! She is very intentional. Said 25 was the target marriage age. If you look hard enough you can find it. Most people just think men appear out of thin air when they're ready and even more so when their life is out of order.
Great conversation, really enjoyed this interview. I appreciate these two spoke more of a place from actual experience. The common thread I've seen so far between these two married couples that you have interviewed is that the women in the relationship has bought into the relationship and the leadership of the husband. The million dollar question is how do we get our ladies to buy it because like some alluded to in the comments the women featured here is definitely a rare breed. How do we get a women who has control issues stemming from trauma to defer to a man in a relationship. How do you even get them to point where they see the lack of deference as an issue.
First love your content bruh. I especially enjoying the black marriage videos I was hoping someone would do something like this and push successful black marriages to the forefront. Our culture has so many negative and toxic examples I think content this content will provide much needed positive energy and examples we need. This one hit close for me I had a very similar childhood experience and experience in the Army (21 years). I wish I had a video like this when I was young, I didn't marry my ex like James but came very close and tolerated a lot that I never should of. Keep up the good work the culture needs this content.
This is some good stuff and all young couples need to see it. remember to be selfless and self-full when the time is right. make the sacrifices for the greater cause and show up as the best version of yourself for your and your partner's sake for life.
Good interview. The simplicity and honesty of interviewers. No over the top dramatic or unnecessary comedic answers; just their honest opinionated responses. Love it.
Alabama checking in (Currently in MD). What are both of their ages? She was diligent about being a wife FOR a husband at 25. That’s RARE. That’s why I asked what their ages are now.
The advice about nice guys will go over some womens heads because some want that excitement. But to see a couple break down things like this is truly a blessing. Keep the interviews coming.
I do love this conversation, but we need to acknowledge DV does and has always existed. My mother, grandmother and greatgrand have all experience it. This is something women today don't have to endure if they aren't completely financially dependent on another person. I have a great relationship and my husband is a proponent of our daughter being self-sufficient even though we are giving her the example to cooperate in a marriage. My grandma was very open about DV in her 1st marriage. I have cousins who have dealt with DV. I say this because we have to be honest about what women can be subject to which informs some of the behavior. There's accountability needed on both ends.
48:01 this part about conflict resolution is the tricky part. Most men PREFER this. I know you may be emotional…but if you on 10 when trying to communicate something…we don’t really hear it. With the right tone and respect..you’ll have your man’s ear.
If you’d been making these videos 5 years ago you might have saved my marriage.
WOWWW! Please send me a DM brother! Id love to hear your story.

These are some of the best conversations and interviews that I've heard on RUclips so far.

This show and series is beautiful and inspirational
Thank you brother! Unfortunately, it has been our last viewed series
@@wnttalk I’m not surprised, not much market for happy Black couples and real life on the net. Still it stands as a testament.

This was dope and needed! Great work!
You better go to Birmingham and buy those houses before outsiders come buy it up and make it something you don’t recognize

It really is hard to focus on how to grow with the random nuisance of advice that is given. Most of it bad advice from people with attachment issues
lovely

So what happens 10 years down the road when the rubber meets the road and familiarity starts to breed contempt.
@AZMan Then you go for marriage counseling or Therapy to fix that. Be optimistic not pessimistic.
@@C.I.PATRICK therapy don’t fix things!!!
@@thetruthsucks9418 Therapy works for a lot of people.
@@C.I.PATRICK sure… it works for the therapist
@@thetruthsucks9418 Okay. So you don't believe therapy fixes anything.
So what's the alternative solution you recommend?
