I have one qiestion please sombody help me.. The question is. Is it allowed to move 2 pawns at a time at the begining of any chess game?? I saw many local player always move 2 pawns at a time. So i need to know the real rule..
Rakib Islam : You cannot move 2 pawns at a time according to FIDE rules. You can, during castling, move 2 pieces at once (the room and the king). On the initial move of any pawn, you can move two squares, if not otherwise blocked or an illegal move. There are some local variants of chess which permit moves like you described, so it is wise to find out before starting a game, what are the specific rules. You can probably find the official rules online.
