Solar is going to have a mass adoption. I studied Math and Physics at university. I'm going to work out the math. As the panels get more efficient they lose less energy as heat, as we know heat contributes to degredation of the system. So as the efficiency goes up linearly, the life of the panels also goes up. You can imagine a panel that's 50% efficient that lasts for 50 years. It's mind boggling, it might take 25 years to get that mass produced but, assuming we don't solve fusion energy in the next 25 years, solar should be the main source of energy. Now we have to work on how to store the energy.
Great video. I usually go with the net metering pitch almost every door but there’s been a few times where I went to deep without mentioning solar😂😂so then the customer asks “oh so you’re selling solar” and then I’m just stuck like yeaaaaa and I lose the deal. I say I’m not here to sell you anything. I’m here to give you information that you as a homeowner need to have. Then I do a pull back and say we don’t even know if you’ll qualify. My job is to simply empower you as a homeowner and give you the information. If it makes sense, then cool, take full advantage of it, if not, then hold on to it until it does. Then you go and make it a no brainer during the close 😊
Thanks for this awesome video Sam! I think we got about 3 years before solar is going to be bottomed out in pricing for saturated markets like it is in Australia. You can see it in the way online companies are trying to give the low quotes and how net metering pushback in states like CA and FL so the pricing is going to have to come down. Maybe 4-7 years for new markets.
Sams im having problems when started with the net metering pitch and they asked are you solar and they rejected me inmediatelly because in texas is saturated.

As a homeowner, I would prefer an upfront pitch. The guys who say things like, 'I'm with the metering team', 'we want to use your home as a model', gets on my nerves.
But a lot of homeowners (in saturated markets) immediately slam the door if you do the upfront approach. That’s why we have to take an around about approach of net metering because it buys us a little more time to get our to our presentation, and thus get more appts
