When I tried to replace mine i pulled a bit too hard on the filter and it came the hose disconnected from the connector inside of the tank. The issue is I think i see two of those connectors in there that could take the hose. Im not sure which one too use.

I've got numerous pieces of bent wires to dig those filters out. Seems one size doesn't fit all lol
