These ladies are quite right! I commend them for their serious discussion of very serious issues. Many of the Indian posters who comment negatively here, are not serious and frankly not very capable of intellectual assessment or analysis. They are the problem; but worse they have no solution. India has a long history of turning information into knowledge, but sadly this tradition appears to be distracted recently by replacing ‘outcomes’ with ‘output’. That is bureaucracy has become increasingly the ‘outcome’ rather than effectively & efficiently being the ‘output’ that leads to THE ‘outcome’. Put more simply, preparing a shopping list does not in itself lead to the eating of the meal. The plan for making the meal involves planning & timing; it is not enough making endless lists; endless visits to the market; endless washing of the pots & pans (etc. etc). At some stage the ingredients need to be prepared for cooking & cooked, all within a set time. Why can’t Indians extend this efficiency to other things in their lives? When will they stand up for their rights to expect the best outcomes in the best ways possible?

Its so important to develop critical thinking, unfortunately all my colleagues in college who took Science didn't even understand fundamentals and passed on sheer regurgitating syllabus... To add to insult the Scientific academic in India is horrible and when ISRO ties nimbu mirchi to their rockets just seals the remaining asperation to practice in India.
Although i agree with you in all aspects, let’s just not forget that those scientists are older generation of our population and nimbu mirchi is religious cultural practices which many of us grew up with so it is not easy to change cultural upbringing to become antithesis of such practices. Let’s just accept another part of psychological aspects of humans that we all are flawed in one way or another and working to be better versions of ourselves, acceptance of flaws and Coexistence with them represents high emotional intellect which is a step towards Progressive change. @@Homosapiens0804 I see the point you are making but with time mentality has to change, the interference of religious practices in scientific approach sabotages the work of dedicated scientist and advancements. Religion and its practices/rituals are personal and should be that way. Science is for all of humanity so no particular religion/tribe/cast/government gets to hijack it with its agenda.
@@avq512h All your points are not only agreeable but now when i look back to my past 18 years of educational And professional life i can say that the points u mentioned were followed in professional spheres very well in a progressive manner by educational, scientific and beauraucratic facets of our society prior to 2014, Then we saw a systemic derogation of social cultural and religious fabric of our society by certain extreme political-religious belief system, what we see now is the manifestation of these negative emotions harnessed in different individuals and there need to express it outside their personal spaces, the same individuals who earlier were very well able to distinguish and separate their personal beliefs and professional beliefs. I also hope we all can come out of these and truly practice the embracement of scientific temperament which was also described in us Indian citizens Fundamental duties of constitution.
