My name is Sizwe Mchunu based in KZN Durban, 21 years old. I’ve been inspired to start poultry farming since 2023 watching Farm Up channel and other international channels, but finding this channel this year from TikTok really changed my perspective hence I can relate with prices and brand for feed. Being one of the winners can help me on embarking my farming journey.
    All love from KZN

I am no expert on agriculture but I do wanna say maybe the soil was not the best soil to grow seeds. And maybe some fertilizer was necessary especially with that type of soil. Thanks for the honesty and transparency. We learn a lot from your experiences!

Hi, actually a seed has all the energy it needs to germinate, seeds can germinate almost everywhere, but the most important thing is to keep the growing medium moist and warm especially for summer crops untill the seed germinate and at least has developed true flowers. Then you can worry about fertilizing.
      Hope that helps 🤗🤗

You dont use normal soil on a tray. You better grow seedlings on the soil directly, try to use compost, or you can use compost of trees from the bush is working better. Normal soil is hard on the tray or mix the soil with chicken manure and plant seedling directly from the soil.
We can arrange i will come and show you how to make seedlings. i have 50 trays to make seedlings

Same!! I tried herbs, peppers & tomatoes using garden soil, I failed dismally! Tried again using compost only herbs germinated, not even all of those herbs🥲 I'll just stick direct sowing. Please show us again when you try again & succeed. I need tips!
