Hi it’s 1cm
Can you tell us about the foot you're using? loved this video!
Thank you! It’s just the regular Bernina reverse foot. But I’ll be getting a walking foot for her soon (Bette is my new machine 🤩). I’m always saying in my other videos how much I love a walking foot 😅. Do you use a walking foot much?
Are seam allowances 1 cm for all fins and tail?
Is there a bigger version of this or how would you recommend making this bigger?
I would enlarge it on a printer/copier and then check that the seams match in the same way as the smaller version. How big are we talking?
please tell what kind of zipper are you using. I have tried to seperate 3 zippers and i can NOT get them back together seeing even your method. :( is it a number 5? ive tried on number 3
Oh no so sorry you are having trouble, yes I use a size 5 for this one and one that is sold on a roll/by the yard with nylon teeth.
What length zipper do you use?
24 cm 🥰
That is amazing!
Thank you for watching! Do you think you’ll give this a go?
@@Studio7t7 i definitely should, but on top of everything else i want to do artistically it is hard to really develop my sewing skills
@@Ecotasia it’s so hard isn’t juggling everything?! I should do more art- I’m the other way! I was a face painter too before the pandemic. Lots of fun and very free creatively. I hope you get some time to sew it’s great mentally too and being able to use your creations in such a practical way is wonderful 🥰
Thank you. I signed up for pattern several hours ago and have not received to my email. Do you not monitor on weekends, totally understand if that is the case.
Hi Debbie. It’s automated. I’m sorry you haven’t received it 😢. Did you get a reply email to confirm subscription to the mailing list? It should have a link within there. Many thanks
@@Studio7t7 no I have not received any emails and checked junk as well.
Oh dear I am sorry about that. You might need to re try it sounds like it didn’t go through 😬
@@Studio7t7 just submitted info again. Hope it works.
Still no email response or pattern
This is great, my nephew loves Sharks and I am going to make this as a surprise for him.
Just one issue please: On the pattern piece 6 of 6 it says to cut two pieces from the outer fabric, surely this should say INNER fabric?
Thanks
Hi I’m so
Glad you love the pattern. It’s all explained in the video when I go through the pattern pieces. Many thanks for pointing that out.
Emma - Thank you so much for your reply, so many others don't bother!
I'm mid way through the project and can't wait to finish but there's one other point about the pattern please: At the point where you mention marking the lining using the pattern, my version doesn't have any markings on to work from. Is there a measurement to work with?
Thanks
@@petermylchreest3908 ah no worries! I reply to every single comment- although sometimes RUclips doesn’t tell me for a while 😣. You can always reach out to me.
As for the pattern- I’m sorry about that! I’ve changed it now if you wanted to re download- I’m sorry I’m not sure of the exact measurement and don’t have access to the pattern right now. Sorry I can’t be of more help right now.
When you finish your shark I would love to see your final creation. Please do tag me on Facebook or Instagram (@studio7t7)
Enjoy ✂️
@@Studio7t7 Thanks for coming back to me again.
I checked the original video and managed to translate the Portuguese , the measurement is 8cm from the bottom. I'll post a pic on Instagram once I finish, the zip is giving me just a little problem!
@@petermylchreest3908 brilliant! Is there anything I can help with for the zip? Can’t wait to see your shark. If you’d like to see similar projects please hit the bell next to subscribe as I have some fun similar ideas coming up in the next few weeks 🥳
Hi, I have a question. Can I make this pencil case without fusible fleece?
Yes if using a thicker fabric like vinyl but if not you’ll need some interfacing for structure. Hope that helps
@@Studio7t7 is there something else that can replace the fusible fleece?
@@evacuric7252 You could try using regular fleece - or fusible interfacing that isnt fleece but like i say you will need something for structure if not using actual fusible fleece.
@@Studio7t7 ok thank you!
............. and now I think the YT algo is broken. Not that I don't like it, but again so soon.
So weird! Yt thinks you’re a super fan 🤩😂
So cute. Just downloaded the pattern. Looking forward to making it. Is there a way to share finished projects if we don't have Instagram?
So glad you love it! Yes! You can share on my Facebook group- it’s called sew create and craft 🥰 happy sewing
Great pattern and good tutorial. Only question is, is seam allowance included in the pattern?
Yes, it is - 1cm or 5/8" Many thanks :)
Darling!
Thanks so much tawanah. If you make one please do share it 😍
Hi. This is so clever and cute. My grandson's school mascot is the ORCA whale. How do you suggest that I adapt the pattern to make it look like that whales? Thanks
Thank you… I would change the fin shapes and leave off the dorsal (top fin). Can’t wait to see yours!
I have just made 3 now love the pattern and your tutorial, would love a link to the plush eyes, I have been looking on amazon but there are a million different ones and I worry that the "stem" of the eyes are too long and will poke through the lining. Thank you , so happy I found you
So glad you are loving the pattern! Please tag @studio7t7 so I can share them on my instagram highlights and they can join the shark family! So these are the ones I bought: amzn.to/3vaMa1j Thanks for bringing this to my attention - I will add them as links on the description. Be sure to watch as to how I avoid the long stems on the video as I go through this too :) happy sewing and thanks for watching, Emma
@@Studio7t7 just watched the video again I just see you putting in the eyes, nothing about avoiding the stems,....
@@lonemuchow3900 I chop off the back and file them down a bit after that bit 🥰
@@Studio7t7 ok I will do that when I get my eyes tomorrow, thank you so many cute patterns
I was wondering if you would share what foot # you are using on your Bernina for the zipper and Lining application. Thanks.
Hi it’s a zipper foot 🥰
Thank you, but I signed up to get pattern and nothing has come to my email. Did I do something wrong?
You should get an email that says inside it “click here” to get the file pretty soon after you entered your email. Many thanks
hi again. I double checked. So when you input your email straight away on the webpage you inputted your email there will be a “thanks for subscribing” message and below that is a clickable link to get the pattern. Apologies it’s not in an email it’s on the page- this is the first time I’ve done this system. So sorry for the confusion.
Do you know how many videos there are on the Shark Pencil Case? There are loads, cos YT thinks I want to see them all!!! Then every so often yours jumps back up to top spot, like today 06.06.2022 13:09 🇬🇧 🇬🇧 🇬🇧
So funny 😂 sorry not sorry! 😁
Please what am I doing wrong. At the part where you sew down the lining to the notches, incorporating the zip, when i go to turn the lining it is all caught up in itself and I can't see how I can do it any differently
Apologies for the delay, the zip does get a little caught at the corners… did you watch the hacks video? You may find you prefer that method.
Thanks 😊 My favorite Haw much coast this fish pouch?
The pattern is free! You can find the link in the description thanks
How wide is the seam allowance?
Hi it’s 0.5cm apologies if I didn’t mention it. Thanks for asking here. Enjoy the pattern
