Love to see you working hard while being optimistic and positive there 😊
I am also the oldest in my family and tend to not caring about money spending when I first landed a job. It went down when my parents got major financial issues even when they had stable jobs so I became the main financial source since I earned the most in my family. I had finally learned all about finance and budgeting for us to make the ends meet.
    I can smile contently now.
I have it proven too, that 'hard work will be paid off someday'.
Wish you all the best, fellow family fighter!! 😊😊

I enjoyed this from start to finish. It’s my first time to see the 500¥ coin book! That was so nice! 👍 Budgeting in Japan is quite hard and the deductions are real. It’s amazing how you budget your groceries😊 I really enjoyed this simple yet sincere vlog. I also watched your house tour!

I tried to convert yen to usd. I also tried to buy a 500 yen savings book on Amazon Japan, but $1200 usd was too much for a lark. I'll stick to a piggy bank. I am retired and have always had a budget! I can't recall never having a budget. I'd like to move back to Japan, for at least one year. But I require a service dog and a wheelchair and not many rental apartments would allow either. I'm blessed that my income per month converts to 580,000 yen per month.

    Hi its really good video,
But, is this still relevant to now ? or no ?
What about living cost in Nagoya ? is it enough with 250.000 JPY without rent or its still enough if included rent too ?
I really confused right now, and couldn't find any good source that still relevant to now days.
thank you in advance and hopefully you notice me and could answer me.

I think you switched Gross and Net Pay. Gross could be all income before deductions, net pay should be after deductions (your take home pay).
I see some videos/articles mention that Japanese salaried workers usually get a big bonus equivalent to 1-3 month's pay, is that common? Thanks.

Wow. That's so shocking to me. We are going to move to Japan in January and we have been visiting for many years. But every day I discover so many new things that are different about Japan. It's a bit fun and interesting, but also a bit scary, because new things pop up every day. My wife asked for boba today, and they didn't know what she was talking about. Turns out in Japan they call it Tapioca. Very funny. I REALLY LOVE YOUR VIDEOS. Great job.

Also, recently I was in a Japanese bathroom and instead of pressing the flush toilet button, I hit the emergency call button. How embarrassing. A man's voice came over the loudspeaker in Japanese. I just told him in English that it was an accident and he seemed to understand.
