Brother Bryan thank you for this teaching. It's the best teaching I have ever heard on explaining the Godhead. There has been some confusion for me in the past but this confirms what I already believed. Jesus is I Am. I Am the way (Son), I Am the truth ( Holy Spirit) , I am the Life ( Father). These three are one , the fullness of the Godhead bodily is Jesus Christ. Every knee will bow before one God and confess his Name that is above all names Jesus Christ our Lord.

This is amazing. I was raised Roman Catholic then became Lutheran. Lutheranism borrows a lot of things from the Catholics. I always believed in the Trinity because that is what they taught me. Now I can see plainly from the Bible that there are not 3 separate persons, but only one Godhead. Thanks Bryan. Ive followed along in my KJV bible and taken notes.
These are my thoughts. "...like a dove" is a simile. People of today should be able to understand 16th Century literary style.The Holy Spirit did not appear in a body of a bird. The Spirit of God descended gently and gracefully.

I've been getting more than one answer in regards to the Trinity- the devil does like chaos & confusion, and everything we associate with Christ has been hijacked. God told me to see without my eyes & hear without my ears & feel the truth within, so I did. Amen. When breaking down what John 14:6 and how it even VERY SPECIFICALLY defines who God is too, is truly amazing. This is not just a book, this is the eternal living word of God. Amen. God bless you all brothers and sisters, peace and blessings. In Jesus' mighty name, amen.
This guy is somewhat confused. He says that the trinity is pagan and a belief that Father, Son, and Holy Spirit all have bodies souls and spirits.? Who in the world believes that? Then he goes on to define Godhead which is exactly what trinitarians actually believe. I get that some people get the wrong impression of the word "trinity" but people also go too far with "oneness" and none of these words are in the bible. By the way Catholics didnt invent the trinity. The term was around for hundreds of years before they came on the scene. Sorry to be negative but this video is a waste of time.
Phillip Newton I just dont see the point in arguing over terms like this. When you look up the definition for "person" understand that we are not talking about human beings. No one, I mean no one, thinks that the father, son, and holy spirit each have their own bodies souls and spirits. Thats ludicrous. Like I said, I don't get fussed over terms. It is all semantics. As long as one knows that the son is not the father but that they are both God we are in agreement. The term trinity predates the Catholic church by at least a century so please stop saying that its a pagan term especially when the term Godhead which only translates as "deity" is the proper term when you get it from a bible commissioned by a homosexual pedophile, King James. Trinity does not mean gods. That is tri-theism. Trinity means 1 in 3 or 3 in 1 which is what this guy tries to define as Godhead. Same thing. Lets get back to things that really matter instead of bickering over terms.

The Godhead isn't what real trinitarians believe. Trinity is a word that people who know God isn't separate beings have used for lack of a better word (which was right under our noses) in the past. Bryan admits to using trinity in that way, as do I.
The trinity teaching is that God is 3 persons ACTING as one God. But the Father is not the Son, the Son is not the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit is not the Father.
The Godhead teaches they are all the same, body soul and spirit, just as man is body soul and spirit.
I'm sorry, but it is you that is confused.
Also, no one knows whether King James was homosexual or not. That was slander made up by people who hated him AFTER he died, so that he had no way to defend himself.

Sometime last year I came to this realization and put together a plethora of scripture and notes on it. Below I will post a few scriptures that may give insight a little more into what we are actually made up of. Please let me know what you think.
We are the temple of God/Holy Ghost (1 Cor. 3:16 & 6:19)
How are we the temple of God? Well let’s look at the construction. 1 Kings 6 and exodus chapter 26,27,39 and 40. We know the layout of both tabernacle and temple were the same (1 Chronicles 28:11)
What I gathered from these scriptures is that there are three parts (outer, inner, and most inner). It goes right along with your lesson of us existing in three parts body, soul, spirit. Hebrews chapter 9 explains more of this and in particular verses 8&9. Reading through the rest of the chapter we are told that the purification happens on the inside now pertaining to our conscience.
Now my understanding is (correct me if you see fallacy) we are born with body and soul, and the spirit is what we gather through obeying the gospel. This is how our souls are purified (1 peter 1:22) obeying obviously requiring action.
This leads me to understand that our souls will inherit an eternal location either heaven or hell (Ezekiel 18:4). Because we know the spirit will return to God who gave it (Ecc 12:7).
Let me know your thoughts and also what the exact difference between the soul and spirit is.

It is the soul that sinneth that must die . The human spirit lives forever. Angels live have everlasting spirits (have a beginning , but no end . Only God can kill them)
. Now, God lives eternally. ( No beginning ,no end) Only God cannot die though all things are possible to him .
I appreciate your teaching on this. At this time I can only appreciate that salvation comes by Christ, and comfort comes from the Holy Spirit (and I believe also guidance and chastisement). The rest I must take on faith.

I'm not at all understanding in scripture at the level you are and I can understand this. It's easy to understand because it's in plainness of speech. I've noticed the ones who philosophize everything also speak like it. Why talk like you're so spiritual? Even apostle Paul talks about coming to the brethren in plainness of speech(1 corinthians 2: 1-5). Why do they have to twist everything? Their hardness is equal to the Pharisees of Jesus time on the earth.

Something you just can't understand. Lord Jesus knew our thoughts, predicted the temple destruction and it happen in ad 70. In the Jewish marriage the date was set by the father.

It is an extra-biblical word that most people associate with the catholic version of the Godhead. That's the problem.
Doesnt say three persons. It says "And these three are one." Never does it say three persons.
"these 3 are one" is CLEARLY referring to 3 BEARING WITNESS(reread the verse), NOT being GOD.

Amen Brother! When I first became a believer I had Christians tring to explain TRINITY. As years went byI still had a problem with Trinity, this was until I read an artical which explained that Matthew 28:19 had been altered to try and prove the TRINITY, the article said that in the early manuscripts Matthew 28:19 did not say "Therefore go, and make disciples of all nations, immersing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit," but the early manuscripts said "Therefore go and teach all nations, immersing them in My name:". In Acts the Aostles did exactly this " immersing them in Jesus' name:.I posted this before listened to the video!

Question: Is it true that 1 John 5:7 is not in any Greek manuscript before the 1600s? If it is true, why is it in the King James Bible?
Answer: 1 John 5:7 belongs in the King James Bible and was preserved by faithful Christians. But the passage was removed from many Greek manuscripts, because of the problems it seemed to cause.
It is true that there is a small number of Scriptures that are not the same between the King James Bible and the so-called "Majority" Greek text. There are a number of reasons for this:
The so-called "Majority" text was not really based on the majority of texts, but rather a relatively small number of manuscripts. The last person to try to find the differences between the majority of Greek manuscripts, Dr. Von Soden, did not collate more than 400 of the more than 5,000 Greek texts. In other words, what is commonly called the "Majority" Greek text is not a collation of the majority of manuscripts at all.
The "Majority" Greek text is also the main Greek text used by the Eastern Orthodox religion. They had a vested interest in changing (or deleting) some texts. More on this in a moment.
1 John itself is not in a large number of extant Greek manuscripts.
So why then is 1 John 5:7 in the King James Bible, but not in many of the existing Greek manuscripts? To understand the answer, we must look at the history of what happened shortly after the Bible was written.
The Greek and Roman Institutions
During the early growth of the Christian church, ministers (whether saved or not) wrote down doctrines that they said were Christian and Biblical. Starting after the death of the apostles (about 100 AD) many people taught the lie that Jesus was not God the Son and Son of God, or that Jesus became God at His baptism, or the false doctrine that the Holy Spirit was not God or was not eternal.
The growing religion that became known as Roman Catholic, after many debates eventually agreed on the doctrine of the Trinity. So they had no reason to remove 1 John 5:7 from their Bibles, since it supported what they taught.
But the Greek Eastern Orthodox religion was combating a heresy called "Sabellianism," and would have found it easier to combat the heresy by simply removing the troubling passage from their Bibles.
A Trail of Evidence
But during this same time, we find mention of 1 John 5:7, from about 200 AD through the 1500s. Here is a useful timeline of references to this verse:
200 AD Tertullian wrote "which three are one" based on the verse in his Against Praxeas, chapter 25.
250 AD Cyprian of Carthage, wrote, "And again, of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost it is written: "And the three are One" in his On The Lapsed, On the Novatians, (see note for Old Latin)
350 AD Priscillian referred to it [Corpus Scriptorum Ecclesiasticorum Latinorum, Academia Litterarum Vindobonensis, vol. xviii, p. 6.]
350 AD Idacius Clarus referred to it [Patrilogiae Cursus Completus, Series Latina by Migne, vol. 62, col. 359.]
350 AD Athanasius referred to it in his De Incarnatione
398 AD Aurelius Augustine used it to defend Trinitarianism in De Trinitate against the heresy of Sabellianism
415 AD Council of Carthage appealed to 1 John 5:7 when debating the Arian belief (Arians didn't believe in the deity of Jesus Christ)
450-530 AD Several orthodox African writers quoted the verse when defending the doctrine of the Trinity against the gainsaying of the Vandals. These writers are:
A) Vigilius Tapensis in "Three Witnesses in Heaven"
B) Victor Vitensis in his Historia persecutionis [Corpus Scriptorum Ecclesiasticorum Latinorum, Academia Litterarum Vindobonensis, vol. vii, p. 60.]
C) Fulgentius in "The Three Heavenly Witnesses" [Patrilogiae Cursus Completus, Series Latina by Migne, vol. 65, col. 500.]
500 AD Cassiodorus cited it [Patrilogiae Cursus Completus, Series Latina by Migne, vol. 70, col. 1373.]
550 AD Old Latin ms r has it
550 AD The "Speculum" has it [The Speculum is a treatise that contains some good Old Latin scriptures.]

Even Nestle's 26th edition Greek New Testament, based upon the corrupt Alexandrian text, admits that these and other important manuscripts have the verse: 221 v.l.; 2318 Vulgate [Claromontanus]; 629; 61; 88; 429 v.l.; 636 v.l.; 918; l; r.
The Vaudois
Now the "Waldensian," or "Vaudois" Bibles stretch from about 157 to the 1400s AD. The fact is, according to John Calvin's successor Theodore Beza, that the Vaudois received the Scriptures from missionaries of Antioch of Syria in the 120s AD and finished translating it into their Latin language by 157 AD. This Bible was passed down from generation, until the Reformation of the 1500s, when the Protestants translated the Vaudois Bible into French, Italian, etc. This Bible carries heavy weight when finding out what God really said. John Wesley and Jonathan Edwards believed, as most of the Reformers, that the Vaudois were the descendants of the true Christians, and that they preserved the Christian faith for the Bible-believing Christians today.
Who Has the Most to Gain? Who Has the Most to Lose?
The evidence of history shows us that the Roman Catholic religion was relentless in its effort to destroy the Vaudois and their Bible. It took them until the 1650s to finish their hateful attacks. But the Vaudois were successful in preserving God's words to the days of the Reformation.
Now we have to ask ourselves a question: Who had the most to gain by adding to or taking away from the Bible? Did the Vaudois, who were being killed for having their Bibles, have anything to gain by adding to or taking from the words of God? Compromise is what the Roman religion wanted! Had the Vaudois just followed the popes, their lives would have been much easier. But they counted the cost. This was not politics; it was their life and soul. They above all people would not want to change a single letter of the words they received from Antioch of Syria. And they paid for this with their lives.
What about the "scholars" at Alexandria, Egypt? We already know about them. They could not even make their few 45 manuscripts agree. How could we believe they preserved God's words?
The Reformation itself owes a lot to these Christians in the French Alps. They not only preserved the Scriptures, but they show to what lengths God would go to keep his promise (Psalm 12:6-7).
And that's only part of the story about the preservation of God's words.
@Nateblast90 I am not a Roman Catholic, I am a Protestant but actually I am more a sinner trying to humble myself and to repent constantly to be ready for the harpazo. As you can see it was already in it before 1650 even at 200 AD. But the debate will stay. The Trinity as a word doesn't is in the bible, that is correct.
But the Father is a person, the Son/the Word/Christ Jesus is a person and the Holy Ghost/Spirit is also a person and they are ONE GOD. Others may call it the Trinity
but I don't, I just say we are dealing with persons but they are ONE GOD.

3 parts to tje Godhead
Thank you! For this great teaching, the biblical truth is so clear for me now.. The whole trinity thing just confused me. The bible is so clear and plain about... everything. It's a marvelous thing to just believe what the scriptures teach, his spirit will lead us in to all truth. I thank God for your teachings, you stick to the scriptures and lead me in searching and reading it for myself.
This is pretty much a mess within people who claim to be Christians. I believe in The triune God, but I believe there is only one Being of God. I do not believe in three gods, that's polytheism. I do not believe Catholicism is even Christianity. I do not believe Jesus is the body, The Father is the soul, and the Holy Spirit is simply the spirit, where does the KJB say that? I believe there is One Being of God, The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. I cannot even begin to conceptualize how God appears. God cannot be seen, but God has appeared e.g. Genesis 18:1. Isaiah in his temple vision saw one being of God on one throne. John tells us that Isaiah saw Jesus. I can't explain it, but Jesus said to be baptized in the name of The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. Additionally, where does the KJB tell us in the exact way we are created in God's image and likeness?
God is ONE. God is a "He" in scripture. God is The Father. GOD is The Father in John 3:16, who SENT Jesus.
In Genesis saying let us make a man in OUR IMAGE. Not just meaning physical appearance. We are body soul and Spirit because God is body soul and Spirit. I hope this helps. I am still learning this myself
We should be wary of thinking of God has having a body , soul,and spirit like a man.Though we were made in His image , we need to becareful not to think of God as being like a man.we are warned about this in several scriptures.God I so far above man, that we can only dimly understand Him even with the Biblical revalation of Him.we must resist the temptation to re create God in our image

I like Bryan and I agree with much of what he says. But on this I need to speak. "When Solomon asks the question "who knows that a man's spirit goes up and that of the beast goes down"? He is making the point that no man could know that without getting the truth from God Himself. Since those who support the idea claim that the spirit is absolutely undetectable how could they know. It is just an idea that men like to speak on as if they had insider info. Solomon goes on to say as one dies so dies the other. Those who are worthy of the resurrection get your dog back too.

We are told to seek truth. We are told to worship Him in spirit and in truth. Through seeking and prayer, He allowed me to be led to others who were seeking His name , there are many brothers and sisters who have also questioned His name. God is a title. Lord is a title. He said we would know His name and we shall call on His name. I believe His name is YaHuAh. Please don’t trust me brother, seek with all your heart and ask Him to guide you. I have to disagree with you Bryan, You said that GOD created Adam in his image as his son, And that JESUS was Born From GOD? how can that be possible if JESUS is the Eternal Almighty GOD, the Alpha, And the Omega, who, was is, and yet to Come, and that everything, was created by Him, and for him, So how can JESUS be born of GOD, When he is GOD? so he bore himself? I'm extremely confused brother, I'm not calling you a heritic or False prophet, nor trying to bear false witness against you, I love you in the LORD, But I honestly feel your going into uncharted territory, And Spending to much valuable time trying figure out GOD, and bring him Down to our Human level, of understanding of what the "GODHEAD" truly is. That is true because all of the new versions are NOT the same manuscript as the King James. They are Alexandrian Bibles from the critical text of which there are only about 45 copies in which the gospels alone contradict each other more than 3000 times. The King James comes from the Textus Receptus which comes from the Majority Text which contains over 5000 manuscripts that agree in over 95% of the text. There is a huge deception being perpetrated on the masses that claims that the Catholic Bible (Alexandrian, critical, text) is more accurate than the protestant Bibles (Majority Text Notes.) That is true if you compare the KJV with the critical or minority text that these Bibles are translated from because the KJV is NOT translated from this text; it is translated from the MAJORITY TEXT NOTES of ERASMUS.
So many different teachings on this. Trying to understand this was probably one of the hardest subjects to get a grasp on. Finally when I saw your marathon of trinity verses Godhead videos, I could finally put the puzzle together.

Blessed by this teaching, Pastor. I wrestled with the soul of God through scripture, trying to understand the Godhead....my struggle came with Ecc3:21 in the KJV that beasts have a spirit. My thinking had always been that beasts had a soul. Thus the reference of Jesus being the “lamb”, when He hung in the cross and the Spirit went and preached to the captives....leaving the body with the BLOOD AND WATER, the soul of God living in that blood. The soul crying out to the spirit.....so I believe Ecc3:21 to read God’s breath....which would make those beasts having a body and soul. In French Spirit translates to Breath. On the cross, leaving that body with a soul to cry out (lamb).... I guess it doesn’t matter about the beasts, the understanding runs deep....God removing His spirit from man and beasts after sin....(Genesis)....EXTREMELY blessed to dig into my Bible after your teachings. This is what amazes the most about different subjects in the bible. You take one subject, like in this case the Godhead (not the trinity) and watch five different videos of preachers trying to explain what it is, and you get five different answers. it is no wonder there between 30 and 50 different traditional Christian denominations; no one has any idea what they are talking about, they are just guessing and basing their belief on their own interpretation of the Bible.
First, Jesus gave his Apostles keys of authority: Matt 16:19, Luke 9:1. With a few exceptions, and certainly none in the protestant movement due to the ridiculous claim of sola scriptura; which is the reason for such a contradictory explanation as the one above, I would think there authority would be needed to define something as significant as the Godhead. You should have that connection to God to receive that special revelation in order to get that sure word in order to interpret sound doctrine. Even the Bible tells us this. In Ephesians 4 starting around verse 11, Paul talks about the need for various offices in the priesthood that was put in place having been given the authority by Jesus to maintain sound doctrine. Verse 12 talks about perfecting the saints; this can't be done if everyone is teaching something different! Verse 13 talks about a unity of faith? Is five different videos with five different definitions a unity of faith? Is 30 to 50 different denominations a unity of faith? Absolutely not! Verse 14 goes on to explain that without this unity of faith, the children of men are toss to and fro with every wind of doctrine from those who lie in wait to deceive!
This apostasy was spoken of prior to the second coming of Christ, and that it had to come before the Lord's return were to occur. This apostasy occurred when the apostles died and God took his authority from the earth. As stated above, and as occurred in His church after Christ's death, authority would have to be restored in order for His church to be His church again. God is the the author of so much confusion, as we see today between so many sects of traditional Christianity. But we know that with God there is always hope.
Ancient prophets such as Isaiah, Ezekiel, Paul, Timothy, and Jesus all prophesied of the restoration. Jesus nade it VERY clear that he and his father are 2 persons! They are one in agreement and purpose, not 1 person.
Bryan, I agree with you on Jesus being the bodily temple of God and that the immaterial God lives in him. But you still posit a kind of trinity whereby you teach that three entities are in one. But the Bible speaks of TWO persons or wills, God the Father and His begotten Son. Tje Spirit is simply the very substance of the Father and it is the Spirit of Christ too because God who is Spirit dwells in Christ.
We are in the image of Father & Son in that we have a bodily temple wherein Christ could pour out the Spirit in us.

So, I disagree with you saying the Father is the soul because Jesus himself said that God is spirit. God is a spirit. And Jesus Christ is a bodily person in whom the Spirit of God dwells in full measure. But Jesus also has a distinct personhood from the Father.
If you're honest, like you said, trinitarians don't have scripture for God the Father, God the Son and God the holy ghost, then you must admit there is no Scripture for God is the soul, the Son is the body. You're again reinventing terms.
Let's take the Scripture as it is. Christ said God is spirit and so the holy spirit is the very Spirit of God. Now we know God can live in us believers but he does not become the soul of us. We are a soul indwelled by God's spirit. So also, the spirit of God dwells in Christ but its not biblical to say God or the Father is the soul and Christ is the body. A soul is a whole human being. The word for soul in 1 Thessa 5.23 is never used of God to my knowledge.
And in 1 John 5 it does not speak of three persons or entities. Moreover the following verse says there are three tjat bear witness on earth but this does not mean the water and blood are conscious beings. So we cannot say the Father, Word and Spirit are three beings. The Spirit is the Spirit person of the Father that dwells in the person of Christ and Christ is that Word (Uttered thoughts) and Image (visible image) of God.

THE Father is just an abstract state , The Word or Son is an intermediate state , and the HolySpirit is a concrete state . Yahweh is spirit in the abstract state with no form and He took on an organized shape and form as a spirit embodiment . @Cmama, because Jesus is the only begotten Son of God. Jesus is the Christ who is God. The title Son of God means GOD. Jesus is Son of Man but also Son of God.

Should the Trinity really confuse everybody? I sometimes picture the Trinity like this... God the Father whom no man sees, is like the being behind the computer screen that displays the universe. But for God the Father to express that He Exist and created the Universe, God the father created an avatar mediator within the universe program named Jesus. God the Father is the one to control the Jesus Avatar. And then The holy Spirit, is like the Computer Programmed environment. Although this is a made up theory, but nevertheless it sort of helps to make sense of the Trinity.

The ground + the breath= living soul Gen 2:7 ,how does that become the Godhead? Looks to me you need to do some more study. The SON came in flesh. The word "GOD" is not actually in 1 Timothy 3:16 but was ADDED in translation from Greek.

I found out this. Godhead NO PERSONS, also NO PARTS ( MEMBERS 1 Corinthians 12:12). I myself said parts. Not any more when I found THIS. 1 Corinthians 12:12. For as the body is one , and hath many MEMBERS, and all the MEMBER of that one body, being many are one body: SO ALSO IS CHRIST. So the three that bear witness in 1 John 5:7 are the three MEMBERS in I Corinthians 12:12. Jesus Christ the Son of God is Fully God. Here is other Mystery he is in all of us that is Born again as he is also in Heaven. God is all Mighty and is all Great there is no limit in his Righteousness and Judgement. Not persons. not parts. The trinity/godhead ate confusing to me. I don't think they're really a salvation issue so I come to terms that I won't understand until I am outside time and space. But if you say God the Father is the soul wouldn't that mean he's incapable of doing anything? Kind like if I cut off my arm and send it to China it's not attached to my body anymore but it's still my arm. However it's incapable of doing all that it can when attached to my body. I think calling God, Jesus, and Spirit basically 3 in 1 is dangerous bc it's saying God on His own not capable of doing things. Spirit not able to do things. Jesus not able to do all things. All 3 needed to do all things. And that's taking away power from God. In my opinion. I have come to terms I won't fully grasp the trinity or even godhead until I'm dead. Do I really think it's salvation matter? Nope. Because in Romans it says if thou shall confess with your mouth jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead after 3 days you will be saved. There's alot of things in the bible I've come to terms with that I won't get fully until I'm dead. Do I believe in trinity. Idk. Can't explain it but taught it all my life. Do I believe in a triune God? Absolutely. Godhead don't understand either. And I never take one person's word on anything biblical. But to say you can't be saved and believe in the trinity is wrong. I do not get completely what your trying to say I understand the main point. You are forgetting that everyone is without excuse and the Godhead is understandable:

Based on these verses you do not need to die to understand the Godhead, maybe you won’t understand every aspect but it’s enough to hold on to and to trust. By the way, what you said about God the Father as the soul can not do anything makes no sense. If your making that argument how about the Holy Spirit? How can 1 Spirit be in all of the Christians in world at the same, while encouraging them individually? Don’t we each have one spirit? How is it possible? Maybe for us it’s impossible but not for God. Your argument is no different from an atheist. Now for your other argument saying “is this a salvation matter?” I believe it is in this context: if you do believe that Jesus Christ is the LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; that He is the same God who created everything and everyone; and payed for your sins and you a sinner in need of a savior; by grace though faith you believe that He is all of this then you are saved.

You are completely misrepresenting what trinitarians believe. There may be some people that believe in how you described the Trinity, but I have never heard of one nor heard it taught that way. This is a exercise in using the word Godhead instead of Trinity. Fine. Fair enough. I'll use Godhead instead of Trinity. It's just a word. Trinity just has 3 as the root to make it real easy to know we are talking about the True Biblical God
