why do i always see people saying similar stuff to this like this "trope" i know i haven't seen much anime but in the 40 i think or so series I've seen and thousands of normal movies what you just said I've seen done a few times and wildly different every time. in my opinion something not a "trope" or common or whatever, if it hasn't been done many times before like at least 5 knows series/franchises or so... so please go ahead and name 5 in other movies or shows that have a character like this and do it well, like scissor seven.
Seven is like naruto in second thought... he has red eyes he becomes a beast but survives it and he is funny even more than naruto himself and is really a good person like naruto and lastly loses control of himself like naruto.
One thing I noticed is that every time we seven tap into his past self, he never goes for lethal blows. Despite threatening dai Bo right after, he never took the two chances to kill the prince of Stan moments before, only destroyed his tech. In the captain jack fights, he didn’t try to kill jack, and the second time he didn’t even scratch him, only gave him a bit of a hair cut. Against red tooth, he didn’t even draw his sword until that least few seconds and that was likely more to gain distance than to kill, otherwise seven would have gone for the heart Never kills outside of missions indeed.
I can’t wait until they show us his past fully , like who the woman was and is to him , what exactly did he do in that fight in order to save woman and why he get betrayed
And u dont think we've seen its true potential because hes in amnesia mode but i think its more bad asss when he was at gis best i mean come on u saw the thing thatbwas protecting the sword itself amd he killed that tgis show has so much hype and potential

Just realized, but the first time when Seven remembers part of his past, the hairband on his hair is shown, because his hair is one of the ways that shows the difference between him and his past self.

He's also like Gintoki as well since they both do odd jobs, have people they want to protect to the point of going great lengths for their sakes, and have a dark and tragic past that practically haunted them (literally) and affected their own future

Against captain jack, he could have easily bisected him, yet he went for a long slash that would hurt like a birch, but wouldn’t kill him. Only leave him disabled for seven to leave freely. Even in the rematch, seven cut his hair tip, instead of leaving any mark on Jacks skin. Given how seven learns from every fight, seven likely deduced that that would be the best way to defeat jack without killing him. Against red tooth the first time, seven didn’t even draw his sword until he did the mid air dodge, where he first took a stab. And that stab seemed like it was aimed far too low tone a killing blow. A killing stab would have been aimed at the heart or the lungs, but that one looked leveled more at the liver, or some where down low. If seven is fast and precise enough to withdraw his sword from red tooth’s body while he’s impaling himself with it, and get it right in his mouth before red tooth can reach him, then it would have been easier to go for the vitals in the first place. Of the little we’ve seen of his past, seven really HASNT killed anyone when not on a mission. This honestly opens up the possibility that he didn’t kill the millennium kago demon when he got the dagger, perhaps he made a pact with it like red tooth did with the blood demon
Guys please watch the chinese dub!! It's worth it. I can't take his english VA seriously at all. I mean the chinese VA is just the right amount of goofy and serious. (Way more natural) This english one sounds like he is always trying to be edgy or to be super funny. (Very unnatural)
Is seven wanted to he could have easily killed redtooth because the green phoenix killed him so easily and he was so much weaker than past seven but he chose not to
