this was my first concert ever i was 8 i think and me and my cousin drove all the way to texas for this and i was BLOWN AWAY. i was scared at first because everybody was jumping around like maniacs and stuff but after the first song i got into the swing of things. when i got home i talked about it for 2 months and drove my parents nuts. and ever since i loved metallica and still do to this very day. they are number 1 on my list. i am proud to say i am a die hardcore metallica junkie.
I was there on may 10th!They played it live that night too!I remember thinking it sounded cool but weird chorus! My friend thought they played devils dance i was like no way it had to be Fuel!
I wish James always played the chorus riffing like this, like how it is on the album too, it’s such a cool little note progression, but he throws it out for some power chords live
With all the shit they go for Load/Reload, many of it's tracks still get played on mainstream hard rock stations. Can't say the same for Death Magnetic or St. Anger.
Gimme fuel, gimme fire Gimme that which I desire, ooh! Yeah! Turn on, I see red Adrenaline crash and crack my head Nitro junkie, paint me dead And I see red 100 plus through black and white War horse, warhead Fuck 'em man, white-knuckle tight Through black and white Ooh, on I burn Fuel is pumping engines Burning hard, loose, and clean And I burn, churning my direction Quench my thirst with gasoline So give me fuel, give me fire Give me that which I desire Hey! Turn on beyond the bone Swallow future, spit out home Burn your face upon the chrome Oh yeah Take the corner, join the crash Headlights, headlines Another junkie lives too fast Yeah, lives way too fast, fast, fast, oh, oh Ooh, on I burn Fuel is pumping engines Burning hard, loose, and clean And I burn, churning my direction Quench my thirst with gasoline So give me fuel, give me fire Give me that which I desire, ooh, yeah-heh White knuckle tight Give me fuel (on I burn, on and on) Give me fire (on I burn, on and on) My desire (on I burn, on and on) Ooh, on I burn Fuel is pumping engines Burning hard, loose, and clean And I burn, churning my direction Quench my thirst with gasoline Gimme fuel, gimme fire Gimme that which I desire, ooh On I burn
this was before it was released so maybe they changed up the lyrics a bit.....for the better.....so the noobs that shouting and beating up about lyrics...no james didn forget them they just changed it up.....;)
research dude, research...you are talking through your ass.. Metallica didn't even have vocal harmonies in there songs until the black album, that meaning 1991. + he didn't know how to sing properly until he blow his voice in 1992 and had to visit a voice-coach! top voice performance were years 1999-2000, now he;s bouncing back, because in 2003 (after 3 years off) James had serious throat problems, almost couldn't speak again...he's a hero for the times he managed to push throw tuff situations.

one of the best vocal periods for james. Lucky for us he's got his voice back. 2002-2006 was a odd period, i was really concerned for him.

0:32 Lars is whispering the lyrics to james in case he forgot ^^
i think it is too mostly cause 1 its different and this performance makes it sound amazing cause theres so much raw aggression
I like the album lyrics better.
@AndJustieForMexico No, It's the original version. 'Fueled For Fire'

Not a bad demo lol
@lDemonioS09 Cunning Stunts was May 9/10th 1997
Reload was released Nov 18th 1997 so it was just a couple months
@hateworldwide666 and you can say you were the first group to hear Fuel, even tho this ain't the final version, I think its better.
nice IDOL
@masterman9999 its the demo version
Wow menos mal que es el demo...
i wonder how come kirk use the wah pedal on the solo, when he does not use it on the record.
I like the final version better. This one has no fuck em man, white knuckle tight
no, this was an unfinished version of the song..
Not the same without Jason's vocals
TCX Choi because is demo
