Fantastic video Marc , thanks for sharing your knowledge. Love the low key shot. 👍.

I love the low key light setup. Thanks. Rosie is so natural in front of the lens; she’s also a classic beauty.

How do you determine your aperture setting for each shot, the first setup using f22 seems very small?
Hi Martin, you have to use a separate light meter for studio lighting like this. Bit involved for YT videos but we do cover it here www.theschoolofphotography.com/courses/studio-lighting-course-online
Thank,s for vlog, v,good, you take light reading,s before each shoot, with what? Obv a light meter, does the camera meter not suffice?

Thank you, that explain,s it, never liked flash, to harsh unless diffused.
Cool
Thanks Davi
No profoto heads in this video makes a change from the videos I see on hear . You hit the nail on the head when you said your not using none realistic equipment for beginners. Think of begginers with a Nikon d5100 with kit lens or less ect and a yongnuo flash head or less. I do like your videos there easy to follow . And basic . I don't mean basic in a negative way atal. Sorry the word I'm looking for is easy to understand. Thank you for all your time you spend doing videos for us to learn from .
You're welcome Stephen, glad you liked it 👍
People get too caught up on the studio space and gear in it. To be brutally honest that is their problem not the photographers or studio owners.
How come with the white backdrop there's NO SHADOW?

Why f22 gang? What's the benefit of using such a closed aperture vs increasing shutter speed?
Hi Chris, it's to do with Flash sync as explained in the video. More details on this here www.theschoolofphotography.com/courses/studio-lighting-course-online
I really tried to focus on the subject at hand but that gorgeous smile was just so distracting xD
