It strikes me as ironic that an atheist is appreciating this song, and perhaps you might say that you just enjoy the singer’s voice, or the musical arrangement. The reason this song is so majestic is because the lyrics tell of the one true God who created all of humanity, coming to earth in the flesh as a baby, and living to fulfill the prophecies of shedding His blood on a cross to bridge the gap between sinful man and bring salvation to all who believe, eternal life with Him when we take our last breath on this earth. I’m not here to push religious words down your throat, but I am a living testimony of the love and grace of God, the very same God you do not believe in.Perhaps you want proof, perhaps a Christian hurt you, perhaps …. Here’s the thing, don’t take my word for it, seek God for yourself. Tell Him you don’t believe Him, and if He’s real to show Himself to you. You can’t do it in a lame way though, you have to truly be seeking. I know He will show up for you because He promises if we seek Him with our WHOLE HEART we WILL find Him!
