    NOTE:
    If your output video is playing in reverse or random order, then you need to add the images in forward order and not backward order or other sorting order as seen here i.ibb.co/VSMpYM2/sequence-sort-forward-backward.gif
    If you prefer a video explanation, here you go. ruclips.net/video/0MQt_Mx8ZDQ/видео.html
    If your output is cropped or doesn't fill up the entire frame, then you need to do the following
    a) close blender
    b) reopen blender and then change the window to image sequencer as seen at 0:30
    c) Set the frame output dimensions to the same as the images sequence frame dimensions before adding the image sequence 3:45
    d) add the image sequence and adjust the other settings as seen in this video. 0:36

      I know this is a long time ago, but I have a question in how I could increase the time for each image, for example if I want it to stay on each frame of the image for longer, in my case its because im putting together 100s of images that show progress over time, and it by default made around 150 images to be 14 seconds, when I would like it to be closer to 1 minute

    • @BlenderRookie
      @BlenderRookie  Год назад

      @@galdorofnihelm6798 Just change the output frame rate to a lower number. You can put in a custom frame rate. Whereas 2fps would take 50 seconds for 100 images. At 1:40 you can set a custom frame rate there.

    Note to self: when adding image sequence to sequencer: THE FILES MUST BE SORTED BY NUMBER! OTHERWISE THE VIDEO WILL PLAY IN RANDOM FASHION!

    • @BlenderRookie
      @BlenderRookie  3 года назад +3

      Actually, the same order they are listed when adding the files is the order they are put in. It's setup that way so that they can be added in backwards order or by whatever other sorting order you set in the file system.
      Byt typically it's easier if you use numbers like you said,

      @@Sahil-be4zg it depends on the speed you want those 52 frames to play at, since the frame rate changes the speed at which your frames play in the video it doesn't matter how many frames there are. So say that you chose 24FPS then your 52 frames would take 52/24 seconds to play ~2.1seconds. however if you chose 60FPS then the video would go for less than a second, 52/60 ~0.9 seconds

    This is clear and easy to understand, thanks for this golden tutorial.
    To make sure you files are added in the correct order, when you goto Add > Image Sequence: Navigate to the top right, and select the second drop down menu (looking from right to left) > select sort by name. And your image sequence animation will be rendered in the correct order (provided you were using a fresh folder to save out all your images)
    Just adding this in hopes of saving anyone who reads this a well deserved coffee break, instead of renaming a bunch of files.. YKN ^^

      @@SStupendous I assume you are trying to play it with windows media player. From what I understand there's a bug with windows media player that sometimes causes that issue. But I'm making a lot of guesses.
      That said, if you are using windows media player or the built in movie player for windows 10, I would suggest ditching it and getting the updated media player classic. Also if you are using the old media player classic as oppose to the updated one, you could have the same error. The old version started glitching after a recent windows 10 update. Good tutotial, solving a problem about which I have been worrying for days. It will all depend on whether a Daz project, currently 2 days and 10 hours into rendering behaves itself. I would suggest that you need to show the tabs, etc., to which you travel much more clearly - perhaps a larger white cursor? I've been trying to compile 423 frames of 4k images together but keep running into the problem on export of there being some really odd visual artifacts. Everything else works fine on my PC except for the image sequence. This is on rather simple visuals too but blender always at the same part of every render is leaving a smudge of what almost looks like compression but isn't since I am on perceptually lossless compression. I've tried everything from downloading an alpha build of 3.2 to a complete restart and fresh load of the files. Unsure if I just need to try another software or something which I really don't want to do.

      I have no clue.
      The only thing I could even guess at is to tell you to make sure the "encoding container" is set to MPEG-4 or Matroska and the "video codec" is set to H.264 for pretty much any size video but MPEG-4 Divx is specifically for ultra HD(4K) but I can't imagine it would make a difference. However, stranger things have happened. For 4K I need to use MPEG-4 DIVX to be able to play it on the raspberry pi. But that also doesn't make sense to me.
      If you have access to another computer, try it on that PC. Maybe you are having a PC issue. But I'm just making wild guesses. It's really strange.

    I have heard that if your render animations in png format and later convert it to mp4, you can continue from next frame even if blender dont respond.
    But I have a doubt while converting png to mp4, dont we need to render it again to export the video. So wont pc crash at that time.
    So what is the use of rendering in png in first place.

    • @BlenderRookie
      @BlenderRookie  3 года назад +1

      Yes, anytime you render a scene in blender it's always safer to render the output into an image sequence because if it crashes, you can start off where you left off. But that's any image format, not just PNG.
      However, in the example in this video, it would make no sense to convert an image sequence to an image sequence.
      But for clarification, converting an image sequence into a video is not the same as rendering, it's more like encoding video.
      But as far as rendering a scene straight to video, that's a bad idea. Anything can go wrong between the time you started rendering and the time it finishes. Whereas if you render to an image sequence, if the computer crashes or the power goes off, you can later start rendering where it stopped and not lose all that work(assuming you safed your blend file).

    Hey great video. One question. How do you ad glow to the aircraft lights or windows in the image sequence (in the compositor) and then export those images with the glow as FFmpeg video?

    • @BlenderRookie
      @BlenderRookie  3 года назад

      As far as I know, you cannot add the glow to it after the fact. It's something that's added to it using the compositor when it's rendered. It's uses some of the data created during rendering to add the glow. An image after the fact does not retain that data, thus the glow can't be added to it. But if you are rendering a scene, this is how you use the compositor to add the glow to the renders. ruclips.net/video/YVrZRewV2N4/видео.html

    • @BlenderRookie
      @BlenderRookie  4 года назад +1

      Without seeing it, I can't say for sure what happened. But my guess would be that you outputted the file in a format your computer doesn't have the right codec to play or was outputted in too high of a bitrate for your computer to play.
      My laptop will sometimes have that issue if I output in "uncompressed". Which is why I always output in "perceptually lossless". i.ibb.co/KFqsLx8/Capture.jpg

      @@araza.7553 an alpha channel(transparent) background is only an image thing. I know of no video format that uses transparencies. How can we add a background in case of png sequences...

    • @BlenderRookie
      @BlenderRookie  3 года назад +1

      I assume you mean the PNGs have an alpha channel and parts of them are transparent and you want to overlay them over a background image? If so, I know it can be done but I don't know off hand because I don't use blender's video editor except to divide a video into images or turn an image sequence into video.
      When I have an alpha channel image sequence I use powerdirector to add them to a background.
      I will try to find to time to see if it's something I can figure out and I will get back to you if I find a solution.

    • @BlenderRookie
      @BlenderRookie  2 года назад

      It isn't supposed to play automatically after it gets compiled. All it does is create a video file and saves it at the location you select at 1:48 In my case it was set to "F:\Blender Output\" but of course yours will be different.
      Maybe I am misunderstanding. Are you saying when you try to play your video, all you get is a black screen? In that case the usual problem is because you chose a codec or bitrate that your system cannot play. I assume you likely chose "lossless", if you did, try "perceptually lossless" instead. A lot of people get black screens when trying to use lossless.

      Sound like you need to stabilize a video based on a single point. I have never used Blender for video stabilization. But I know it can be used to do it.
      Search for "Blender Single Point Video Stabilization" and I am pretty sure you will find what you need.
      If you were using Blender to create and render a scene, then you would just use a "track to" constraint applied to the camera. But it sounds like you need something more along the lines of stabilization.
