NS 28X Detours Over The NYS&W!! 2/5/23

On Sunday February 5th, 2023 the New York Susquehanna and Western Railway ran a detoured NS 28X down from Binghamton New York bound for the NS Croxton yard!! Over the past couple days many detours have been taking place on the count of the derailment out in Ohio. Because of this derailment NS 28X was diverted to Binghamton, NY where they would get a NYS&W crew and run down the southern tier and on to NYS&W’s southern division! It has happened in the past due to related events and or track problems that class 1 railroads had to reroute their trains via the NYS&W! Me and some friends Headed out to Lackawaxen, PA and chase them back ending in Wyckoff, NJ! It was definitely a nice treat on a beautiful Sunday!! It was also nice meeting a lot of people out and about as well!! I hope y’all enjoy and as always thanks for the love and support!!

Just curious about the routing here, why not run it down the Graham line to Croxton? NS uses the Suffern yards and does run North up to interchange with the M&NJ in Campbell Hall.

Supposedly there was no crew available for an NS swap so the NYSW crew took it all the way to West Milford and switched to on of their local crews!
