- Tansen is a city of Palpa district of Lumbini,Nepal.Tansen Durbar was constructed in 1927 and was a seat of Rana Governors.During the Nepalese civil war it was looted and burnt down by the maoist rebels but was later reconstructed and restored by the government.The Durbar has been converted into a museum now.Around it there are few old temples,gateway and houses of 18th,19th and early 20th century that i found fascinating.So here I combined
Tansen Durbar, also known as Palpa Durbar & Museum, is a historical palace and a museum. It was built in 1927 by Pratap Shamsher Jang Bahadur Rana.The Durbar is a grand palace in the town of Tansen, Nepal. It was the seat of the Rana governors during the Rana rule in Nepal. The palace was destroyed in 2005 by Maoists in the Nepalese Civil War and was rebuilt and reopened in 2008.
