    Thank you for explaining how -에서 gets shortened to -서!!!
    I always saw this in subtitles and such and would get confused think it was one of those particles like for example -서 ....-거야. Similar to how like there's those particles where part of it connects to a word and then you see other part at end. And thought it was some combination, not it's own separate particle. I saw -서 A LOT and wonder why I hadn't learned it and knew of 에서 and thought 서 had other meaning.
    No one's ever told me this!! Thank you thank you!!!

    Hello Vicky선생님
    I was watching your wonderful lesson and a song popped up in my mind. There is this line in Moon moon's song Contrail
    어제와 오늘에 온도가 너무 달라서...
    You mentioned that we skip 에 particle when using yesterday, today, etc. So i was wondering if it is used here for just poetic purposes ( in my motherlanguage we often use incorrect grammer to make things sound in a certain way, e.g. for rhyme's sake)
    Thank you
    Great work!

    • @user-qy9tx1zv3w
      @user-qy9tx1zv3w 4 года назад +1

      That should be 어제와 오늘'의' 온도가 너무 달라서. '의' in that situation sound like 에. I think that's why you are confused.

    • @janamayf.medrano7269
      @janamayf.medrano7269 4 года назад +1

      에서/으로 & 에서 /까지 both means "FROM to TO" but there is a difference
      *place* 에서 *place*으로 means "FROM place TO place"
      *time*에서 *time*까지
      "FROM time TO time"
      까지 is used in "ranging"
      Might be wondering, hbt "강남에서 마포까지 얼마나 걸려요?" It wasn't "FROM*time* TO*time*", but "FROM*place* TO*place*". It is because of the word "얼마나 (걸려요)?" that questions the range from*place* to*place*.
      에 vs. 으로
      Both mean "to" but the difference is when you are using "에", you are focused on the place you are going to and the place FROM where you are isn't important; when you are using "으로/로" the place where you came from where you did something there is important.
